Ritual

The instructions for the ritual were very simple. One would have to fill the chalice with their blood and wait until the blood is transformed before drinking the liquid inside the chalice. The chalice was not too big but the thought of bleeding into it until it was full made Kane a little bit hesitant. Also, if the ritual did not work, he would have wasted so much blood for nothing.

He stood in front of the chalice and Abel walked beside him. Abel took out a dagger from his storage ring and gave it to Kane. After hesitating a little, Kane positioned his hand right over the chalice and sliced his ulnar artery with the dagger. The pain was not what bothered Kane rather, it was the sight of his blood flowing freely into the chalice and the sense of weakness that slowly crept into his body.
