All hands on deck

Although the beasts kept falling to the turrets, they still numbered in the millions and it was going to take a lot of time to kill them all. Even though the bodies of the slain beasts were teleported out of the battlefield a few seconds after their death, the beasts kept dying so fast that they kept piling up. Beast blood flowed like a stream in the gaps left by the force fields covering the districts.

The mortals in the affected districts watched on nervously in their homes as the force fields protecting them were relentlessly attacked by the beasts even though they were gunned down almost immediately. This was the true terror of any beast tide. The beasts seemed to be in a constant berserk state and knew nothing but a rage to destroy their targets. No matter how many beasts were killed around them, they would still continue to push forward unless they were killed.
