CHAPTER 10: A mAiD cAfe

"That's the guy?"

"Yeah, that's the guy."

Behind the two, standing in the dark side is a duo of not so good-looking thugs.

One of the is heavily wounded, bandaged, especially on the face, he spoke as if he'd lose a nose.

"Can't believe he even got a girl for that."

Behind him is a tall, slender men in black with two swords stuck behind his back, the white clothes used to wrap it is swaying alongside the wind.

He is smoking with three cigarettes stuck up in his mouth. The piled-up ash beneath his spot is a proof for his unchained addiction.

"He just punched me in the face, at the bar!" The man spoke, he could always remember how he suddenly "assaulted" him.

"Heard he is an SA, quite famous too."

"I don't care who he is." The killer spoke, showing his yellow, spot covered and burnt-out teeth. "I just care about the money you pay."

"Very well, good luck taking care of him." The man reminded. "He is quite a fighter."

"I know." The killer step out of the dark.

"I know..."

"Still haven't made up your mind?"

Rey walk side by side with Yuki down the mall, hands still holding.

"Y-yeah."

She seems quite down, nothing fits her, that stupid thing of his mind ruined everything. "Well, why don't we find something to chill off a bit while me reconsider?"

Rey look around, searching for a place to sit down and rest awhile for the moment.

"How about..."

His eyes scanning through the rows of shop in front of him.

"There."

"How is your day? Mr and Miss?" The cute maid dressed girl greeted as she handed the two the menu of the day. Yeah, Rey is regretting why he chose this place in the first place.

"What is this?" Yuki pointed at one of the coffees served on the list

.

Normies would call it as "just a damn cup of coffee" but people here had languages far more advanced than our thoughts...

"Miss, it is called as "Puci Puci Love coffee!" Her smile blooms like a flower as she continue to speak alien.

"Alright, then. I would like to have a "Puci Puci Love coffee!" Yuki ordered, smiling too as if all the bad things were gone for the moment.

"Of course, Miss, right away!"

The waitress smilled, scribbling down the order onto a pink tablet with a gigantic pen with googly eyes.

Why the name?

Cause, there is a squishy looking cat drawn on top of it?

For that question, Rey yelled eternally.

But seeing Yuki playing along makes him felt a bit better, but it is for sure he is not going to order anything.

He look through the glass window beside him, trying to play dumb while the waitress repeatedly called him to say those magical words of princess and fairies.

The maid café is located at the second floor of the structure, so the view up here is pretty great, everything is beneath the watcher's eye. And just when he was gazing aimlessly, he caught a quick glimpse of some one observing them from afar.

But when he got his focus back on that spot, he just secretly vanished. A second before he was still there, now he was gone.

"Huh"

"Here is you order!" The water came with a tray, with two cups on it. One of it is Yuki's... I hate that name; it is just a damn coffee.

While on the other side is Rey's cup of water, the only godforsaken drink with a normal name.

"Gah!"

Rey take a sip and almost spit the water out of his mouth right away.

The hell is this thing, a pure sugar solution?

"I wanted Mr to feel sweetness, just like how sugar works!"

The waitress smiled seeing Rey's reacting. Rey glare at her, but couldn't even spew one word.

The entire mouth cavity of his is numbed by the stinging sweetness bought by what seems like five heap scoops of sugar shoved down his throat.

"It is a bit chilly here, isn't it?" After hesitating for a moment, Yuki took a sip from the beverage.

The cute puffy cat instantly disappeared right into her mouth, she felt like she just committed a murder. But hey, the taste is quite nice though.

Milky, silky and not too sweet, Yuki couldn't find a reason why there is almost no customers heading in. With such services, quality and quite an affordable price, people shood be flooding in.

"That thing you don't know, Miss." She sighed looking around the mostly empty shop with an three of the only taking up the space.

"People often took negative reviews on us. Whenever they think of a maid café, "prostitution" or "sexual services" is the phrase they thought next." She spoke out the pain of hers.

"Even some customers, they are always looking us with weird eyes, slowly no one is willing to work with me again... We are just trying to spread happiness, what wrong had us done to be discrete and looked down like this..." She wipe the tears off her cheek as she sniffed, damn, getting a bit emotional here.

She had been the hand and the legs here for the past two month.

Cashier, waitress, brewer, every work is burdened onto her. She tried hiring some workers, but most show not even a hint of interest in such job, some even looking down on it as a "dirty work".

She could barely pay the rental fee of this month; she could feel that it is impossible to make it through next month that easily....

"Sorry, Mr and Miss, I am getting a bit sniffy here."

She wipe her tears away before bursting back into a sweet smile.

"This should be a happy place! You two should be happy too!" "E-everything will be fine...." Yuki tried to comfort her, seeing the amount of hardship she needed to face, alone. She felt sympatric as she grabbed onto her shoulder and squeezed it gently.

"Right, Rey?"

"Ugh..."

Rey nodded, as he stood up. He headed straight towards the bathroom before slamming the door shut.

"A-anyways, games?" The waitress took out a deck of trading game kept in the pocket of her maid apron.

"Yeah!" Yuki gladly accepted it, not knowing the havoc that is going to stir up the café's bathroom sooner or later...
