There was silence on the other side of the call for a while. The silence was tearing Maya apart on the inside. She wished the male would say something.

"What do you want, nymph?" Jax raised the question.

Maya's heart skipped a beat. Hearing that nickname sent her mind racing in all the wrong directions. For a moment she forgot the reason why she called him, her cheeks turned a shade of red.

"Do you know where Serena is?" Maya asked in one breath afraid that Jax might hang up before he heard the reason she called him.
