That's not love

"You are home," Jax's mother said relieved. She rushed to meet them by the door.

Jax stepped into the house holding Serena in his arms. Serena was in tears, broken, hurt, and despair. Her heart was bleeding.

Maya trekked behind them. Silence and concentrated on her thoughts.

"On my!" Jax's mother exclaimed. "She doesn't look that well," she stated.

She took Serena out of her son's hands. She wrapped a warm comforting hug around Serena and entered the house.

"Why don't you make yourselves at home? I'll be back," she informed Jax and Maya.

She brought Serena to her room. Helped the girl to the bed and sat beside her. Serena curled up into a ball on the bed, hugging her knees.

The bad memories of her existence are like a blade crisscrossing in her heart.

"Hello, Serena," she greeted. "I'm Joyce."
