The knock came from the door. The maid rushed to answer the door, the knock was creating noise in the house and the boss hated noise.

She opened the door quickly and took a moment to catch her breath. She raised her gaze to see who it was that was disturbing the peace of the house so late at night.

The maid sighed. She stepped out of the way and let the lady inside. It was getting tiring to see her in the house, her efforts to win over the boss were relentless. She had thick skin and couldn't accept that the boss could never love her the way she wanted him to.

"He is in the garden Miss. Delarosa," Asha informed her. She locked the door behind Sofia and rushed off to continue closing up from the east wing of the mansion.

Sofia watched Asha walk off. She straightened her dress see-through lilac knee-length dress and strolled forward. She took the back door to get to the garden faster.
