Tears flowed down Serena's eyes as the memory of their past fights flashed before her eyes.

The man in front of her did make her heart skip a beat. It was a skill that he had perfected from the very start. But he was also the man that had her cry the most tears.

She recalled when Damian held her hand so tightly that it started to hurt.

"I will never divorce you, Serena. You can do whatever you want but I will never free you from this marriage," she uttered the threat that he made her.

Damian's jaw dropped. It was not his favorite moment. He was not his best self and he ended up saying things in anger.

"I hear your words echo in my head every time that I am reminded that I'm married to you," she confessed.

Serena stepped forward and took his hand, she raised his hand and placed it above her heart.

"The rhythm of my heart, the beat of my heart. You took those from me, and left me with lyrics," she let out in a pained voice.
