"You wouldn't have known," Christabal comforted. "It's the thought that counts and Serena know you meant well," he said to Acacia.

Acacia let down all her barriers and cried into his arms. His words were comforting but they didn't ease the guilt in her heart.

She regretted forcing her mother to come back to her life. She didn't even stop to think that Serena had reasons to leave everything behind. No one leaves a happy life and runs away.

"I m.... messed up," she cried out. Her lips trembled. Her hands were shaking desperately. Her heart squeezed in pain. It was heartbreaking to have watched Damian mistreat her mother as he did.

"You need to get it out of your chest before dinner. Serena won't like it if she saw you like this," Christabal stated.
