Serena walked away, the doctor returned to her office.  She closed the door behind her, right after she opened the patient file in her hand. Revealing the cheque inside.

The cheque of ten million, the doctor ran her hand over the cheque. She swallowed hard.

Her mind ran back to Damian's hospital room not too long back. And the deal that she made.

Damian woke up, he opened his eyes with difficulty.  His head was bandaged and fluids were being pumped into his system through the IV.

The smell of medicine in the air alerted him that he was in the hospital. The doctor came into his view.

"Are you alright Mr. Delgado?" she inquired seeing as he regained his consciousness.

"What happened?" Damian asked him. The doctor explained to him how he ended up in the hospital.

"Grandma,  I don't want to..." Serena's voice sounded from outside the door.
