Pietro ripped Seriah out of Sofia's arms. He analyzed the situation and noticed the bag of biscuits in her hands.

He took it out of her hand and examined the wrapper. His eyes widened with shock when he saw that the biscuits had peanuts in them.

Seriah is allergic to peanuts, and as such, she reacted to it, "She is having an allergic reaction, I'll get her EpiPen," Pietro informed me.

He carried the child in his arms and went inside. I felt her heart thundering in my chest.

In situations like that, I always freeze. Fear clenches tightly around my chest stopping me from getting closer. Scared that even if I make an effort I will end up losing, hence my body reacts by freezing up.

A habit that developed in me after the trauma that I went through at the hands of all my enemies.

Once Pietro had taken Seriah out of the room, I was able to breathe again.
