Fanna's cry

Crocus opened his eyes and even though he felt heavy, he was glad.

'Finally, the call of Wrath enables me to command him at will. The only problem is a portion of food. Where would I get one?'

Crocus put his hand in his pocket and checked because before one of his seven demons Wrath awakened, someone was calling him.

When Crocus saw the call log, his hand flinched a little.

"What is this? Why did she call me?"

Crocus picked up the phone while in confusion and unknown excitement.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

Crocus looked at the phone with a little confusion. He clicked the dial again when she didn't answer.

Ring Ring Ring!

Fanna answered. Crocus did not beat around the bush and talk about it.

"I'm busy doing something. What is it? Why did you call Fanna?"

He is a little tense because of what she is going to request Crocus even though he didn't love her, still has a crush on her. After all, Fanna is an attractive girl and he won't deny the fact that he wanted her if she ever wanted him to.

"Crocus! I need you! I need you to do something... Please..."

He heard a distressed voice from her that made him freeze. She sounded like she was in deep panic and made Crocus feel his chest warm while a little concerned.

"What is it, Fanna? What happened?"

This time, he is not sure what he is feeling. He knew it was his weakness for being a person who was having a hard time saying no. He didn't sound concerned nor wanted to make someone like Fanna feel he was there for her anytime.

"Please... Crocus... I will do anything... Please... Please save the girl in the high school building... you need to hurry! Please... In your north, in the high school building... I must save her, no! You must save her please..."

Crocus couldn't believe it.

'Are you Fanna? Why are you acting like that? So much crying for a simple request... Wait... Could it be something important?'

However, Crocus's thinking changes because of what comes next.

"Please, save her! That little girl is the only chance! I will do anything! Please Crocus, we are friends when we are young, right? Please, you gotta hurry... I will do anything!"

Crocus is not sure why she is like this. Maybe that little girl is important to her. However, a condition for anything is a promise that might be a fake promise.

"Anything? Are you sure, or you are just using me?"

He asked with a serious tone. Making Fanna on the other side stutter.

"YES! CROCUS! PLEASE I WILL GIVE ANYTHING TO YOU! MY BODY! MY HEART AND EVEN THIS LIFE OF MINE!"

The tone of Fanna made Crocus tremble. He couldn't help but blame himself for being too serious.

"Nevermind. I'll save her and if I want to have you without using dirty tricks like that, after all... I honor you as a respectful woman. However, don't expect me to completely save her because I will put my life to safety first... but I will try. "

With this, Crocus hangs up the phone. He needed to hurry. He was not sure if the girl was still alive, but he still needed to go somewhere.

"Asmodeus! Did you scout the outside as I instructed you to? How many zombies and what are the dangers?"

Crocus said as he walked slowly with confidence about where he was going.

A shadow suddenly greeted him from the dark. It bowed to him while he was walking.

"Master, the outside didn't have zombies but it had a lot of giant fly trap plants or Carnivorous plants. Much more dangerous to any kinds of zombies."

Hearing this, Crocus felt he was confused, so he stopped moving and asked.

"What do you mean? No zombies or mutated animals?"

Envy bowed lower.

"Yes, master. I have seen it from my own eyes that those mutated beasts and crazy humans were turned into living fertilizers by those big-mouthed zombies."

Crocus suddenly felt a rising tension from the atmosphere. He is confident because he is level 15, so taking out level 10 or lower zombies won't be a problem... But now... There are these mutated plants.

"Master, you need to be careful. The plants would just sprout and attack anywhere."

Crocus nodded.

"Can you see the level of the highest mutated carnivorous plants?"

Envy looked up, recalling everything he saw outside.

"I remember, the highest is level nine, Master."

Crocus knew he shouldn't underestimate all the carnivorous plants outside, but somehow he is curious about something.

"Did you notice the magical aura of the carnivorous plants themselves?"

Envy looked at its arms and remembered once again.

"Yes, master. They have a plant magic type, Darkness magic type, undead magic type, and poison magic type. Those are the common magic types, however, there are others with not poison magic type but ground, fire, or water... Depends..."

Crocus touched his chin with his hands.

'How do I save someone when something this dangerous was lurking out there? I can use Wrath's Demonic ability, but it has a duration. If I end up losing his ability while at the center of the carnivorous plants, I'm sure it will be my end.'

All of a sudden, Envy looked at Crocus's back.

"Master, what's that?"

Crocus also felt something heavy from his back! It didn't give him time to react when massive electrifying pain spread all over his body. It made him drop to the ground with a thud.

"Aarrrgghh... Not again!"

A wailing voice came from his back. A shadow of a gigantic demon appeared, but only for a second. It disappeared as it appeared. Crocus felt the sensation of electrifying pain disappear.

"It was your demon 'Sloth', Master."

Envy said. Crocus flinched after hearing this and in shock, he asks.

"How do you know that?"

Envy stopped bowing and looked at Crocus with an emotionless look.

"It was your assistant that said to me, Your Highness."

Crocus' hair stood up.

"Yes, your highness. It was me, the Game Dimension System. I have taken over this Asmodeus demon Envy you named."

Envy replied. His emotionless expression on his face smiled, but the expression was still dead.

Crocus smiled.

"Aren't you a little naughty, game dimension? You should've told me sooner."

Envy suddenly walked slowly and followed Crocus.

"It would bore you, your highness."

Crocus only tapped Envy's shoulder like a close friend.

"With this, it would be easier to communicate with you."

Crocus said as he fixed his messy hair and outfit.

"Are you useful in combat?"

Envy made a slight turn.

"I can use the 100 percent capability of this body, your highness."

Crocus expected him to answer that.

"I see... So... Are you going to tell me all the things I need to know now?"

He added as the Game dimension System promised it to him. This time, Envy bowed like a butler.

"That is my job. Your highness."
