The most important person right now.

Right outside the room his mother was in, Ned was stopped by Garrick.

"What brought you here?" Ned asked.

"I wanna see your mother with you." Garrick said, "You sure?" Ned asked and Garrick nodded quickly.

"Fine, but whatever happens...don't do anything suspicious okay? I'm wearing my glamor And I've already told Her husband a story he'd believe, so don't blow my cover." Ned replied.

"Sir Yes sir! you can trust me!" Garrick joked, It surprised Ned how quickly Garrick seemed to recover from earlier's shock.

"I'm glad you're feeling better, but how come you are?"

"I decided that I'm not going to let my past ruin my present.

I don't care from where I came from, I know what I want to be and it's by your side, Ned."

"I'm glad to hear that, really! but it still doesn't explain why you want to see my mother?"

Feeling Shy all of the sudden, "Umm, I just wanted to see...the person who gave birth to you...because you're the most important person to me right now." Garrick said averting his eyes away from Ned who smiled at his mate's shyness.

Gigging, "Are you nervous about her? This isn't an official 'Meeting your mate's parents' so no need to worry! she doesn't remember me." Ned replied.

Turning his eyes to look at Ned again, "Are you sure she doesn't, btw you don't hate her right?" Garrick asked.

Sighing, "No I don't hate her, after everything my father made her go through, I'm not surprised by her decision to leave me behind." Ned replied, "And as for her remembering me, I'm sure she doesn't...in my mother's past life, she gave birth to me.

But in this life she didn't...in this new life, I'm not her son, even if to me she's still my mother." he added.

"Is there a chance she might remember you in the future?" Garrick asked.

"I'm not sure, I've asked before about past life memories...Usually not everyone reincarnated, gets their memories back, unless getting them back is necessary for some reason." Ned replied.

"And what about your brother, did you know she gave birth to him? She gave him a similar name to you." Garrick questioned.

"Back when I was a kid And my mom ran away, I knew she ran to marry her mate, and that was it.

Ever since then, I never heard of her or saw her again...so I don't know if she gave birth back then, or if this is new.

Also, I've noticed when comparing their past lives to current lives, many of the people who got reincarnated aren't living exactly the same way now, that they did in their past life.

There's many similarities but also many differences." Ned explained.

"So people are not living their new lives exactly like they did in the past, but it's similar, Right? I mean you and I met again Despite that I can't remember you." Garrick said Smiling.

Hearing those words, "I'm glad that we got to meet again, and I can't wait until you have your memories back...which I've got a feeling it'll happen soon." Ned said smiling back but then soon enough, his smiled faded.

"What's wrong?" Garrick asked eyeing him.

"I don't understand, how come my Father married my mother again?" Ned thought out loud.

"Wait, I remember you said Your mother was a princess in her past life.

That's why your father was so hung-up on her...what could've possibly made your father marry her in this life then? she can't be a princess here too? Right?" Garrick questioned.

"I honestly don't know what's going on!

I really didn't think that any of my parents would show up again, so I never investigated or tried to look for them.

My parents were like a chapter in my story that I discarded." Ned replied feeling anxious.

Garrick feeling a little bit of Ned's emotions, took the doctor's hand in his, "Your dad...He obviously abused you and your mother, but what did he do that it made you okay with your mother running away without you?" he asked while caressing Ned's hand.

"I don't think this is the time to tell you what my dad did to us...But I can tell you won't let me go until you hear something, so...

My father, he was so abusive toward my mother that she ran off without me...She probably left me behind knowing if she took me as well, my father would hunt her down mercilessly.

When she left, My father became more abusive towards me the more I grew-up to resemble her... he tried everything he could to have the same control he had over my mom on me.

He blamed her for his sad life and treated me like I was a useless piece of trash she left behind... Making me lose all hope, and give up on my dream to become a jewelry designer." Ned explained.

"But then you became a doctor, Why? you're so talented when it comes to jewelry? Jasper inherited that talent!

Did your father tell you to give-up on your dreams?" Garrick asked.

"No actually My father never knew about my dream...if he did, it would've been more beneficial for him to make use my talent.

My dad had a Jewelry brand of his own, he inherited from his own father, and it was the number one in our kingdom, he was the unofficial king of jewellery business.

And my designs would've been useful to him...but I didn't want to give him that, if he knew about my talent he would've made me work for him.

And if I tried to work for anyone else, I figured he'd do his best to destroy them." Ned replied.

"And a doctor? how did you go down that path?" Garrick asked.

"Like I said, My father was abusive, especially physically.

he wasn't always physical at first, but the more I grow-up the more he became aggressive...

And since he had a reputation to care about, he was afraid anybody would find out he's a wife and child's beater.

So when he abuses me, he had a room just for that...away from everyone else.

After he's done with me, he would leave a box of first aid kit and order me to patch myself, before I can leave the room.

it was my first medical experience, I had to clean and bandage my own wounds...I became quite skilful with time." Ned said while Garrick listened to him with unwavering attention, despite the pain that resided in his eyes.

"This skill became helpful one day, when I found a little boy who was badly injured and frightened, in a forest near where I lived.

I treated his wounds the same way I treated mine...it was the first moment in my life where I felt inspired by my own struggle." Ned said chuckling.

Ned continued talking with a soft smile on his face as he remembered more of his past, "I remember when I told Matilda I'm gonna attend medical school...she was like 'Are you becoming a doctor for the money?'

*Chuckling* At the time, she didn't know that I was abused physically by my father, and because I always talked about making money and such, Matilda thought I'm becoming a doctor, so I can have more money in my pocket.

She was so confused when I chose to live in a Tiny village, where becoming rich was impossible! and i became one of the few doctors there.

The village people were so poor, I would treat them for free whenever it's possible, they just didn't have money.

And the funny thing is that even with holes in Their pockets, some of them refused to not pay me the fee, and insist I should get payed full." Ned said chuckling again.

"The more you open-up to me, the luckier I feel, because out of all people in the world that I could've ended-up being mated to, it was you...An angel in a doctor's coat." Garrick replied making Ned blush in surprise.

"I'm not an angel! I just know how unfair life is! I've been powerless before so I decided that when I have power, I'm gonna use it to protect people from feeling the same powerlessness I felt... it's a dark place to be in." Ned said.

"Exactly...I don't know what made you keep my children from my past life, but thank you.

I really wish I had my memories back... I'm so grateful that you're in my life, so thank you for being mine again." Garrick replied before he leaned and kissed Ned's forehead.

Feeling emotional all of the sudden, "Shut-up, horse face." Ned replied Sniffling, he did his best to hold his tears from falling.

"Btw Lovely, I forgot to tell you...since you're wearing your glamor, you look so pretty with blonde hair and blue eyes! you remained me of Muriel in a way." Garrick said, " I brought my glamor as well, I'm going to wear it so I'd seem normal too." He added.

"Whatever... just hurry-up, put it on and let's go inside!" Ned said.

"Okie dokie!" Garrick said happily wearing his glamour, his violet hair turned jet black, and his violet eyes became hazel.

"I think this is the first time that I've seen you, with your glamor on." Ned spoke-up feeling shy.

"Likewise, so? how do I look?" Garrick asked.

Looking him in the eyes, "You still look like the most important person in my life." Ned replied taking Garrick by surprise.

And As fast as he could, Garrick grabbed Ned by the waist and pulled him in for kiss.

But just then, Robert came out of the door, He was met with the view of The couple kissing and chuckled loud enough for them to hear.

"Oh god... Robert!" Ned said lightly pushing Garrick away from him.

"Doctor Valentino! sorry I interrupted." Robert replied.

"Oh! sorry you had to see that sir." Garrick spoke-up.

"Ah, no need to apologize, love is beautiful...You should embrace the feeling." Robert replied.

"We're mates as well, just like you and your wife." Ned said pointing at the glowing diamond mark on Garrick's face.

"I forgot to cover my mark!" Garrick said surprised.

"Isn't that wonderful!" Robert said smiling, "I haven't met another mated couple in years!" he added.

"We're a new couple." Garrick said, "My name is Garrick Delun." he added offering a handshake that Robert gladly accepted.

"Garrick is actually here because he's a patient." Ned said.

"Goodness! you're a patient here? did something happen to you?" Robert asked.

"What? no! it's not like that.

I just fainted, And Ned got so worried he got me hospitalized and everything...it's not really that serious actually, he's just overreacting." Garrick explained.

Feeling slightly offended, Ned gasped, "Well I'm sorry I got worried about you?! look at that! I worry about my boyfriend for getting sick and he thinks I'm overreacting!" He replied.

"You shouldn't worry too much about me, look! I'm fine and healthy as a horse!" Garrick said.

"Alrighty then horse face! Next time when you faint, I'm just going to let you stay there and marinate on the ground." Ned replied crossing his arm.

Holding back his laughter, "oh dear! you two! I'm in this shit-position but I want to laugh because you guys are adorable." Robert spoke up.

Feeling embarrassed, "I'm sorry! we didn't mean to fight in front of you! it's just that we really like each other, a lot." Garrick replied.

Chuckling softly, "I understand no need to explain! my wife and I are like that all the time.

She's so paranoid! I remember one time I accidentally cut my finger while helping her cut vegetables, and she started crying about it.

That's just how much she loves me and hates to see me hurt." Robert said.
