Chapter Thirty Nine

Macy frowned when she saw Andrew standing outside her apartment unit with his back against the door. She doesn't know what else happened. It seems Macy can almost guess all the emotions expressed by the writer. And if the man has behaved like this, she can confirm that he is in trouble.

Then Macy walked over to the man.

“Andrew…”

Hearing the voice of the woman he was waiting for; Andrew smiled faintly and opened his eyes.

"Hi," he said.

"Hi," Macy greeted back. "What are you doing here?"

"I’m waiting for you."

Macy's brow furrowed. She exhaled. "Since when have you been standing here?"

"A few minutes." They both knew that it was a lie. "And our other neighbors just looked at me like I was a freak."

“Because you were standing outside my apartment unit. Honestly, Andrew. What are you doing?”
