Chapter Ninety One

Jared Miller smiled at the two detectives sent by the Manila police and motioned for them to sit down. Jared then turned to his secretary and asked to make a drink. The secretary nodded and left the room.

Jared sighed and sat on one of the sofas.

"So, any developments regarding yesterday's incident?" he asked without further ado, because that was the biggest reason the two detectives had come to see him.

One of the detectives who looked not much younger than him took out a small book – a notebook from his leather jacket pocket. "We have checked the CCTV footage and conducted a cross-investigation of several witness statements. At this time, we cannot determine who the perpetrator is.”

It didn't surprise Jared. Even to find the perpetrators of Macy's attack in the parking basement, the St. Haven didn't find any clues at all. The black clothed person was nowhere to be seen after the incident. As if he knew the blind spots of every St. Haven. And that's what made him worried.
