Chapter One Hundred Sixty Six

Hani entered the convenience store with a wrinkled face. She was still wearing yesterday's clothes which now looked shabby. She had to stay up all night at the office to finish some of the case reports she was handling. Due to several weeks that she was more focused on Macy's case and she had to sacrifice other cases.

She walked towards the ready-to-eat food rack and took a bento box with a pork loin filet menu, a cup of ramen, and a bottle of mineral water.

She brought it to the counter to pay before warming up the box and brewing a cup of ramen.

"Two hundred fifty-five pesos," said the cashier on the counter.

However, when the lawyer was about to pay, someone suddenly interrupted.

"Count this too," said the person as he put a bottle of anti-nausea medicine with a card.

Hani suddenly turned around and found the Detective standing behind her and grinning. She slightly put a distance between them.
