Vile Unbelievers

Once the party entered the dark alleyway—which was surprisingly clean, free of mold or trash or vermin—Billiam’s face turned pale. Everyone was staring directly at him.

“I swear, I have no idea what’s goin’ on! I don’t remember a single thing after the Hefty Halberds passed through the blue wall!”

Achilles nodded. “The HQ said everyone else who came back from the mission had missing memories, right, Medea?”

“Yeah,” she said. “There’s definitely some sort of mind-altering effect at play. Don’t worry, Billiam, we believe you.”

Dagenor didn’t look as though he completely believed their former prisoner—but, then, the Warrior seemed to have a bit of a hard time understanding everything that was going on.

“Seems pretty convenient that you just don’t know anything about this place you led us into!” Dagenor said, clearly trying his best to be stern and authoritative.

Billiam looked terrified at this accusation. “No, I swear on me mum’s grave—”
