Colby's P.O.V
"Stop the car," I yelled feeling nauseous.
Out of shock Hayley hit the break skidding to a stop.
"What the hell man are you trying to die?"
I opened the door and puked.
"Are you okay?" Chloe asked, placing a piece of hair behind her ear and rubbing my back.
Twins?
"Y-yeah, s-sorry," I stuttered out still choking.
"Its okay," she said softly, rubbing my back.
"Maybe we should take Colby home and let him rest," Hayley said worriedly.
"No, I'm fine." I said choking out as I wiped my mouth off.
"-Just need something to drink," I added as I swallowed the rest of the bile in my throat, and closed the car door.
"I could go for a drink, too, let's stop by cafe Boujero." Hayley said as she put the car into drive.
We drove Sylvia home and we drove to the cafe. I decided to stay in the car because my clothes were full of blood. Chloe stayed with me as Hayley went in.
She was nervously fidgeting.
"You killed Lucey?" I asked trying not to look at her.
She nodded slowly.
"Why and how?" I was both bewildered and hurt.
She chewed on her bottom lip before answering.
"She shot you Colby. I couldn't let that go." She said her face twisted in sorrow.
"She wouldn't shoot me," I said, feeling defensive.
"She was jealous," she said with a sigh.
"Jealous over what?" I asked, raising my voice.
"Of me, she was upset that you didn't love her back, so she shot you right here." Her hand touched my forehead softly.
"None of this makes sense." I said staring out the window, Chloe reached for my hand, but I snatched it away from her.
"How did you do it?" I asked, watching Hayley at the front counter in the window.
"I'm not sure you truly want that answer Colby," she said, as her voice broke at my rejection.
"Where is my car?" I asked irritably now.
"I-I don't know." She finally said looking down.
"How do you not know where my car is Chloe," I said, putting my fingers through my hair.
"Some men took it away," she said, upset.
"I was scared, I thought I was losing you, Colby," she whimpered and covered her face with her hands as she started to cry.
"I'm sorry, I just, dont. Understand all this." I say sighing.
I pulled her face up to mine and kissed her softly.
"I do want to know how though," I said, placing my forehead on hers.
"You'll find out soon enough Colby, I promise." She closed her eyes as large tears ran down her cheeks.
"Sh, no more crying." I said as I wiped her tears away.
"I just don't want you to hate me." She said in a whimper, she attempted to take her face away but I held her in my hands.
"I'll never hate you, I might get mad, but I will never hate you." I said looking into her eyes.
She sniffled, the car door opened and Hayley got in with four drinks.
I let her face go and sat back putting on my seat belt again.
"What's going on?" Hayley asked as she began to pass out our drinks.
"We were just talking, and thank you for the coffee," I said as I took my drink from her.
"-Also why are there four?" I asked curiously.
"It's for Jason," she said.
"Oh," Is all I said.
So much information to take all at once I'm not sure what to put together first.
I took a sip of my black coffee, bitter and caffeinated just the way I like it,
I looked over at Chloe as she sipped on raspberry lemonade iced tea.
Chloe's P.O.V
The sweet and sour drink made my lips pucker around the straw, as we drove towards Jason's garage, down into the trees back down the country road
When driving into the drive way it looked like Hayden and Jason were fighting, he was screaming and lecturing Hayden, as Hayden lit a smoke.
I quickly got out of the car and Jason stopped yelling and ran to me.
"Hey," I said as Colby walked up next to me.
"Hey," Hayden called out waving.
"We have a problem," Jason said angrily, looking over at Hayden.
"He's being over dramatic," Hayden rolled his eyes and flicked his cigarette.
"Also this guy looks like he just killed someone- what you didn't even invite me?" Hayden asked, looking hurt.
"No, this is Colby," I said and took Colbys hand as he stood tall beside me.
Colby's P.O.V
I held Chloe's hand as the men in front of me acted like children.
This Jason guy seems to care a lot of whatever went on, and Hayden doesn't seem to care enough.
My question is what was so important that we couldn't go back and get changed, I feel disgusting in the blood and grime of these clothes.
"Wait Colby, as in…" Jason trailed off.
Hayden ended up dropping his cigarette from his mouth.
"Sh-shit," Hayden said, quickly picking it up.
"Dude, try not to burn down my deck will you," Jason said rolling his eyes.
I feel like everyone is repeating each other.
"Yes I'm Colby, the father of Chloe's twins." I said being territorial and wrapping my arms around Chloe's waist.
"Twins?" Jason yelled looking back at Chloe.
Hayden dropped his cigarette again and I sighed in irritation.
"Surprise," Chloe said with jazz hands.
"They didn't know?" I asked looking at Chloe.
She shook her head.
"We just found out today," Hayley piped up walking behind us.
"Okay, guys what's the problem, that we had to come right away?" Hayley asked Jason after passing him, his drink we had gotten on the way here.
Jason gestured to us to follow him and took sips of his drink and we all went into the garage.
The floor was covered with blood and a man was chained up in the back, his face was so swollen I could barely tell who he was, except for the eyes.
"Jasper?" I said breathlessly.
"C-Colby?" The near Corpse whined out.
I turned to face Chloe and the others.
"What the hell is going on here?" I asked angrily.
They all looked at each other yet said nothing.
"Answer me," I boomed out, Chloe shied away.
Hayden stood his ground.
"I did this for Chloe, I couldn't stand those bastards anymore so I took action.
"Hayden why, I just wanted to get back at Lucey." Chloe spoke, stuttering.
