Chapter 223: The Auction II

In the silent of the night, one guard fully clad in armor received distress calls from his colleague through the use of slight equipment imbued with mana. Since the security for this auction is highly regarded and currently held numerous VIP, then the guard had no choice but to check out what causing the disturbance in such place.

Equipped with a saber, he then rushed over to a corner only to fall on his butt in shock the moment he saw the corpse of his colleague. This sight really frightened the guard since he had become quite close with the colleague he had met during his duty.

They were practically friends at this point, and that same friend of his is now lying down on the ground, completely dead.

Despite his shock and fear, he immediately sent out distress signal to other guards nearby while also trying to figure out whether he could find any clue on how his colleague died.
