Elisa knew Sol wouldn't accept her request. He was too stubborn to let Elisa go alone, much less stay with Gin, a stranger he still wasn't comfortable with, at least without Elisa. But of course, there were instances that Elisa and Sol would be required to separate.
And that instance would be made possible through the act of a rare and helpless case scenario.
"I don't think I can join you," Elisa said in a low voice, making her tone sound weaker than it was.
Sol, who was then sitting on the side of the bed, glanced at Elisa with worried eyes. "Then we should stay in this town for a while. Once you get better–"
"No," Elisa said. "We can't delay Mother's medicine any longer, Sol. Even if it's not a severe disease, we still need to get her the medicine," Elisa reminded, eyes looking at Sol seriously as if silently relaying how grave their journey was.
