"When the time comes and you have to see for yourself how things go on the other side… Can you still choose this land and protect it?" Magnus asked.

"There's no need to remind me," Gin said, the sun slowly rising behind them as they both reached the top, facing the entrance of the town's best tavern. Gin walked as Magnus followed behind. His eyes remained distant but nonetheless devoid of any deception as he silently thought.

Because I have people I want to protect who live here.
