"Hold onto that piece of wood, Miss Elisa!" Barlin exclaimed, referring to a hefty piece of wood that was presently floating on the water's surface.
From where Elisa was positioned, she could see that the wood was bathed in a hazy, golden hue that cast a glow over it.
Elisa was startled as the serpent swooped in from behind and quickly appeared in front of her while hissing at her. Elisa did not squander any time as she moved swiftly as she swam down the lake and made her way to the said wood.
From the looks of it, Barlin's magic had already applied to it.
"Oh no, it seems to be in a bad mood! It's impossible for me to strike up a discussion with this enormous lake friend!" Barlin let out an exclamation as he launched himself off the back of the octopus and floated in the air above the surface of the water.
