Chapter - 49 - Friend

" I've already sent the video to your game ID so keep up the good work , I've some work to finish so I'll be gone for some time " Luck said and took his exit

after another hour and another humiliation Edge logged out

" click.. " with a click the door of the gaming capsule was opened and Ted stepped out , he was soaked in sweat and went Straight to the bathroom to take a bath

after an hour or so Ted came out and went straight to opening the video on his game ID

The video was 1 hour long and Ted watched it all while pausing the video at some places , then he started to view some other gaming content but he soon got bored because all of the gaming content was about ESCAPE or related to it and it was also nothing exciting

After some time Ted got so bored that he was drousing " maybe I should also start uploading my game play " he came to a conclusion and immediately started to search for something interesting when he remembered about today's clip

the quality of the clip was really great and it looked like Edge was really beating up the crap out of 13 Face , the fight didn't have any skill or ability but it was still mesmerizing to the eyes , mostly because it was a one sided massacre

" the way 13 Face is antagonizing players around the world I think the video will get decent views considering that he's getting beaten by someone" thinking that Ted uploaded the video while removing the background noises and keeping only the fight sounds

he uploaded it and went to the kitchen to prepare something for himself , it was night but Ted wasn't sleepy at all

He is used to sleeping only 1 day a week , after the incident with his family he tried sleeping but he always gets the vision about his family the video that he saw that night

He was so afraid that he decided to stay awake as long as he could until the exhaustion is so overwhelming that he practically loses consciousness instead of sleeping so that he can't get any dreams

Day by day doing this resulted in a natural cycle in which Ted sleeps for only 1 day per week and the rest of the day he does day to day work and in night he exercises

" I can't believe that Ted went through all those things alone " Chris was laying back on his couch after coming home from hospital , because the hospital belonged to his family the senior doctor told him everything related to Ted and right now Chris was holding a business card of a gym club

" it's only 9PM right now maybe I should go there , I don't want to waste my tomorrow on that" with that he went straight to the address that was printed on the card

Surprisingly it was a famous gym club when Chris saw the building , it was a huge building and there was a face printed on a banner and that was the face of a famous former MMA fighter Felix Ray aka the "Man of steel"

Chris saw various people pushing weights in the gym and after entering the martial arts area he could see many instructors guiding some famous rookie fighters and made his way towards the manager's office where a name Felix Ray was written on the door

knock knock

" Come in " a heavy yet soft voice answered and Chris entered

it was a small office considering that the gym building was so huge , there were no trophies or medals related to that man's fighting career only awards related to his gym and photos of him with his pupils and some of his pupils were really famous for ex the current MMA world champion

" hello sir it's an honor to meet you my name is Chris Jordan , I talked to you on call a while ago for this meeting " Chris answered and sat opposite the man when the man gestured for him to sit

" yes nice to meet you myself Felix , so what did you want to know about Ted " Felix came straight to the point just as people always described him as , and Chris told him all about Ted that he currently knew

" although I shouldn't do this but I think it will be best for him to have a friend like you beside him "

Felix started to tell the events that led to Ted becoming one of his students

After the death of his family , Ted was devastated he lost consciousness and then went into a commatose state , and when he woke up he was different , Chris already knew this information because of Ted's doctor

doctor told him that although Ted was in a comma for one month when he woke up he was different like he spent a lifetime inside his own mind and it was certainly proved after they took some psychological test , they even did a blind test in which the psychologist didn't know who Ted was or look like and he concluded that Ted is around age 90-100

When Ted was discharged he ignored all his relatives known to him and the doctor told them that maybe he just need some time alone

Ted went to home and then lied on the bed with his eyes open and tears started to trickle down , a whole day went by and he was still crying without making any noise just weeping tears

Soon his body didn't had any water inside his body , his lips got dried , throat got dry , tears stopped coming , his eyes lost all the shine

a fly sat on his eyes but he didn't feel anything, he stood up slowly and the fly went away , Ted slowly went to the backyard garage of his house and started punching the wall

It started slowly and then he was so fast that he was landing two punches every second with full force , his hands were bleeding but he wasn't feeling anything and he only stopped when he felt a little pain after an hour

he was craving that painful sensation because he felt like he wasn't alive anymore

He turned his gaze and saw a flier of Felix's gym club and decided to go there without anything in his mind
