Dietary Changes

As a matter of fact, a sudden change of diet can cause some short-term discomfort even though it is good for people in the long run. 

One of Bai Lu's friends in the modern world is a vegetarian, who decided to change her diet at the beginning of her college life. She told Bai Lu that the first month was total torture: due to the drastically reduced intake of salt, refined sugar and fat, her body could get used to the new nutrient system, and she kept feeling hungry and anxious during the daytime while had occasional headaches in the nighttime for about one month. 

"And I also had endocrine imbalance — an irregular period time, for about half a year till I ate enough avocados and nuts to supply more fat for my body. Now I am a big fan of avocado! So one avocado sandwich, please." When they ate together in a restaurant, Bai Lu's friend expressed her deep love of avocado.
