Chapter-1: new case.

A month has passed.

Vick was happy from outside but he was sad from inside. In this one month, he rarely used to go to the Police Station, he used to stay outside and make himself busy on patrolling.

Whenever he stops his bike on the side facing the road, people notice him and ask about his new case but he answers them…

"No new case."

Some school girls used to come close to him and ask to have a picture with them so that gully boys stay away from them.

In the Police Station…

Officers were talking about his past life and everyone was talking about his story. They were talking about Swan and Lisa smiled at May.

"Be careful May… might he…" May, "he… he… shut up."

Meanwhile,

One of the officers had a message on his phone from the bank.

"Your account is empty."

He was shocked and immediately stood from his seat. His face color changed and breathing became fast. Connor asks the reason behind this. He answered that his account is empty but he did not buy anything.

Everyone was shocked.

All officers went to the bank where he had opened the account. They ask for the manager and that bank. They told everything to him and he took all the transaction details of that account. When they saw those details… All officers were surprised to see that. Manager, "sir… these all are online transactions… you had to use your card somewhere for buying things."

That officer replied that he did not use his card anywhere. There was a shocking expression on everyone's faces.

Officers took all the details and went back to the Police Station. Everyone was on their chairs and on the news channel, there was news going on.

 "Online Cheating… even our Police are not safe."

Lisa turns off the tv and stamping her finger on the table. She was looking very angry because she was thinking about fraud.

"Without… knowing anyone… even bank employees don't know about them… how did they do that."

She asks the officer to call the media, she wants to tell everyone. They call the media but they start questioning them.

"What do you have to say about this?"

Is this true that your officer had been cheated?" She does not listen to them. Lisa, "it is bad but we are trying to find them and very soon we will arrest them."

…

"I request all people… be alert."

"Thank you."

She was entering inside her cabin but stopped and asked May to call him. She called Vick and told him everything.

Vick, "ok… tomorrow I will be there and I want to meet that officer and all details of his account."

Next morning.

He came to the Police Station and asked about that officer. He came in front of him and saluted.

Vick, "officer… have you used your card recently?" He replied no to him. He asked other questions but he answered no.

All the officers were scratching their brains. Vick put his both hands behind his head and looked upward. Fan was moving round over his head and muttering to himself and all officers were standing around that table.

 "Without… knowing anyone… How is this possible."

His both eyes were closed.

…

Suddenly,

 He opens his eyes and sits straight.

"Officer… have you given your details to someone… I mean… giving details for prizes, jackpot etc."

He started thinking and remembered that recently… He had bought a lottery ticket. For that he had given his phone number and personal details. Vick hit his hand on the table.

"DUM."

 "Got it… officers take him with you and rest what you have to do… you know that."

All officers went to arrest them. When all the officers went from there he was smiling. May was wondering and wanted to know the reason behind that smile. But he did not answer, he kept on smiling. When all the officers reached there… They were all shocked because that stall from where he bought that ticket… it was not there.

They asked those shopkeepers who had shops around. One of them said that yesterday he removed his stall and went from here.

Lisa, "do people use to visit him?"

That shopkeeper, "yes madam… everyday many people used to come."

…

She crushed her teeth and made a call to Vick.

"Hello… I have bad news."

Vick, "that stall is not there. Wright."

She was shocked to hear that from his mouth.

Lisa, "Y…yes."

Vick, "came back."

May was sitting in front of him. She was also wondering and shocked. "You know many things." Vick smiled and made a call to Michelle.

"Meet me at a restaurant."

All officers came back to the Police Station. Lisa was very upset with Vick because if he knew about that stall then why did he send them there. They all looked around and realized he was not there. May call them inside the meeting room. They all went there and Vick was standing in front of the screen. There was video footage of that area running. That footage was blurred and fixed.

Again, get blur and fixed.

Footage was not cleared enough to take his picture.

All the officers were standing around the table.

Vick, "sit down officers…"

They all took their seats and looked at each other's faces because they didn't know what's going on.

…

"Footage is not good… huge crowd… really smart."

While talking, his face was towards the screen and back was towards all the officers. He turned back, looking at everyone's faces. They all are eager to know what he wants to say.

Vick, "we don't know our opponent. He may be one or many… we only know the lottery stall… nothing else."

…

"Huge crowd means…?"

Lisa, "many frauds."

…

"Where do you get this footage from?"

He pointed his finger towards May. There was silence in the room.

Connor, "what next?"

Vick, "spread throughout the city and picked those stallers who used to sell these tickets. But make sure… they don't know about you, wear civilian dress."

They do as he says.

They all wear civilian dress and spread throughout the city.

They act like they are buying something but they don't. Their eyes were looking around at those people who used to run stalls. Vick was in his cabin and looking at the bullet shell. He was physically there but mentally he was not there. He remembers all the words said by the doctor. He also remembers that time when he was shot down by the bullet and that smoke due to which he went to hospital.

"Who is targeting me? …Why?"

It was night.

All officers came back to work and went home. Vick is also going to his home but before he leaves…

He thought that he should talk to May. He looked inside her cabin.

… She was not there. He also looked around but she was not there. So, he asked other officers. They also don't know about her.

"Strange."

He looked at German. He was inside his cell and reading a book.

 "Hello!! German."

 …

"Do you know… where is May?"

He moved his head up and down, then he pointed his finger towards the tea stall. He went out and found her. She was sitting on a chair and having a cup of tea. He went close to her. She looked at him and smiled.

"Do you know?"

Vick, "how would I know?"

May make an irritating face.

"Let me finish."

"Ashley had called me. She told me that I can stay with her… in her restaurant."

He looked at her with a serious look. Something was going inside his mind. There was another tea for someone but he took that tea and took a sip of it.

"Did you ask why?"

May, "no I want to change my house so, she helped me."

Vick, "OH!!"

After he finishes that tea. He asked her for a lift but she refused because she used to go home with Lisa. He went straight to the restaurant. Michelle was already there and she was waiting for him to come. He parked his bike. Restaurant was already closed. Vick had one question in his mind and wanted to ask.

Vick, "Ashley… Why?"

She was quiet and sitting with Michelle.

 …

Ashley, "..."

Michelle, "talk to me… why had you called me?"

He handed over that paper and bullet shell to her and asked her to find all the details of that shell. She was wondering that this work can be done by Dude then why he wants me to do it. She accepts and leaves.

 Vick looks at Michelle. Ashley was staring at him.

He stood from his seat and was about to leave but he was stopped by her.

"We all also remember her. I thought that calling her will stop us from remembering Her."

He did not turn back after listening this from her mouth. His back was facing towards her. Other friends were sitting on other tables and looking at him.

He took out his key from pocket and kissed.

"I had a new case. If this is your decision then I can't say anything."

He went from there, back to his house.
