Jake was looking at his troops when Lily interrupted him.


"Master we are running out of food what should we do?"


Jake thought for a moment before answering.


"Gnolls usually roam in packs. Lily, do you think with our current army you can command them so that we can kill all the gnolls in a pack or capture them without letting a single one out?" Jake stopped for a moment before continuing. "On second thought, killing everyone is less problematic. Also, Lily I want the attack to look like it was from the goblins"


"Won't the master claim the attack?" Lily asked this question because normally demon lords loved to demonstrate their superiority to other species and the best way they know is through fighting.


Jake thought to himself. 'Really a demon has no need. If I claim the attack, they will attack us and after that I will die, I don't have enough troops to fight the gnolls, besides I want them to fight the goblins to get weaker.'


"Master? Is everything fine?" After not answering for a while Lily thought something was up with Jake.


"It's okay do as I've said, I have a plan in mind"


"Understood master Lily will do as the master intends. But won't the master join the attack?"


"No. I have something I need to do alone."


"Understood master how many troops can Lily carry?"


"Take all the imps, if one dies bring the body back. Right now makes some arrows"


"Arrows? Master, Lily doesn't understand why you have to make arrows when we don't even have bows or crossbows to shoot the arrows with."


Jake thought. 'What did I get myself into, do I have to explain everything?'


While Jake thought this, Lily thought about something else. The master had been acting strange the last few days. He didn't cuddle Lily like he used to, he made Lily train all the time, and he didn't make the wolves look for food or for the bears to hunt and now he won't even claim the attacks anymore.


"Yes Lily, arrows. After the battle is over create some arrow wounds on the gnolls. Since, goblins mostly use bows. Right now, Lily should only attack a bunch of gnolls only if you're sure you can win without letting any of them escape. Don't attack the first one you see"


"Understood master, I will start preparing myself right now"


"I hope no one dies. And above all, don't let anyone escape"


"Yes, Lily knows" After saying these words Lily left.
