Compensation

Archer paused. He usually left early because he did not want to see her face early in the morning. Two reasons behind it, his mind wanted to hate her while his body straight out refused to do so. And his heart? That traitorous organ was hanging in between all the time.

Archer laughed dryly, ''I had some stuff to handle.''

"Oh," she nodded.

''How are you feeling?" He asked her, noticing her quiet countenance.

''Prettier than yesterday,'' she smiled.

He raised an eyebrow at her usual bout of narcissism, ''I mean... your mood. How is it?"

''As jovial as a rainbow,'' her smile turned wider when the corner of his lips twitched, ''Why do you ask?'' she cast a doubtful gaze on him. It can't be that his voice was not just her illusion and he was really there, right?

''You have dark circles so I was curious,'' Archer shrugged. Letting her know that she hugged him the whole night and he let her sleep in his arms, this woman would bite him.
