Chapter 24 : Public Uproar.

The news of the Conquerors Guild Tournament spread around Earth. While the members of the guild were extremely happy to participate in the Guild Tournament, the outsiders were sad and angered. The amount of money Leo had set for the winners of the tournament was undoubtedly impossible for someone to have. Especially since the most you could pay with real money for in-game money was 1.000 dollars. That meant that either Leo Dan Vok had extreme amounts of in-game money or he put himself in deep debt.

"I can't believe how someone could be that stupid to put himself in such debt. He is a moron!" Gentlemen of normal height, long black hair, and a brown mustache laughed while criticizing Leo. His blue eyes shone brightly at the virtual reality camera.

"I doubt it, I think he is probably not even in debt, to begin with. He is known to be an intelligent man, full of complexity." A bald man with dark brown eyes, with a baby face at that, commented to his podcast virtual cohost. He was a bit angered that this man tried to put mud on his favorite celebrity. "How dare he?!" He thought to himself, holding in his anger as he kept listening to the rant of his idiotic partner.

"Then how about we make a bet? Let's ask the system for 5 G if he is in debt, we both give 50% each to the system. If it turns out that he isn't in debt, you are bound to give me 10 G!" The bald man proclaimed fearlessly because deep in himself, he believed that Leo was not in debt whatsoever.

Through the system, a person can ask if given the right sacrifice of money for simple information that didn't reveal the user's top-secret identity. Just something casual such as if the user has a negative amount of coins, if he doesn't have a guild under his name, and many more.

"Okay Ryan, prepare yourself to be humiliated in front of the chat!!!" The long-haired individual laughed at his comment that was directed to his so-called "friend".

However what happened next shocked all the 11.000 viewers and the pathetic long-haired man. On the screen, it stated that Leo was not in debt. His bank account was in positive numbers.

"I told you dumbass! Pay up, Alex!!!" Ryan smiled brightly after he found out that his belief in his favorite celebrity was not betrayed. The chatters were going crazy as well, spamming tomato emoji with Alex's name. Ironically enough they were the ones who also believed that Leo was in debt.

Because of this revaluation, a screen recording of the virtual reality bet went viral through the forums of Oasis. One thing was known from this day, Leo was given the nickname "Rich King" since his sums of money were so large that even the ridiculous spending on the tournament did not put his in-game bank account in debt.

"I told you, a woman needs a rich daddy like him hun."

"Women these days smh.."

-IN A NORMALLY SIZED BEDROOM-

"I see, so he did make the tournament a real thing. I wasn't going to even pay attention to this game after I became a guild soldier to make fun of my friends who couldn't get in, but well now that I have started playing and there was a way for me to earn money to help my grandpa's debt. Then I will try my best to win the first spot in my class tournament." A Boy with long gorgeous purple hair had a monologue in himself, one could even mistake him for a girl if he were to look at him. His eyelashes were naturally big, and he had a feminine face shape. His Adam's Apple was not even noticeable at that. Out of all his facial details, his eyes were the catching part. They were dark white, the rarest eye color in the entire world.

"It's going to be a long grind!" He said as he sat down in his capsule, starting his virtual reality game.

-BACK TO LEO-

Leo was sitting down on his luxurious chair, slowly taking a look at his new spear. He stared at the spear for a long period, he couldn't take his eyes off the shining, brutally yet elegantly made spear. It sure deserved to be dedicated to such a maiden. Leo knew this spear, just for the fact that nobody could get their hands on it. The spear had the soul of an influential and powerful maiden, because of that she was very picky at choosing her beholder. Spear Maiden Rose died because of that. She was forcefully used by an eviler beholder. And because of that, she choose to end her existence and erased herself. A tragic fate, but because of her righteous personality, she might become a problem and not an advantage to Leo. He is currently trying his best to seem like the "Good righteous fella" but he wants things to be done his way. He still gets that deep desire to slaughter anyone, because of the monster hunts he went on he was capable of sustaining his bloodthirsty desire. But now there was an art that wanted him to enjoy his true desires.

"I guess I can't do anything about it. When the monsters completely make me unsatisfied, I'm going to go on a fun torturing and killing people whose existence pisses me off." Leo giggled, drinking his hot coffee. He then moved to the skill- book.

Leo had a widened grin on his face. He was excited to see the skill he needed so badly. Just thinking how he could stay still, as bunch of opponents died miserably in front of him. Leo learned the SS-rank skill.

He then moved to the next skill book in his inventory. The skill that almost everyone desired in the lower realms back in his life.

Aptitude mana type : Any.

Description : Divine authority is the power of any God or Higher Realm Being. It allows the user to shapeshift in Divinity. Despite if he is of the lower realms, his power will forcefully make anyone near him feel inferior, freezing them in fear.]

"Divine authority" is such a powerful move to have. Let's say you were fighting a monster hundreds of levels above you, if you had divine authority the monster will be forced to bow down, if you could deal the damage for the amount of time you could keep the authority on, you were in heaven.

And finally, after he learned the two skills he wanted to start the bidding contract with Rose, however, something always had to get in his face to stop him. It was another notification.

"Well, I did have one title I haven't checked out yet, and there is another one. I should probably check them both now. But why isn't there any public announcement request?" Leo wondered rubbing his chin, thinking of a possible outcome. "Maybe since I am that fast they did not expect me to reach such a level?" Well, he can't dwell on such things at the current moment, he was excited to see his new titles.
