At merely seven years old, Neera, was dragged away from the alley she called home to end up joining a Duke's harem. She has to endure the hardships of being a commoner in the war-waging kingdom of Cambria, feeling the pain of everything that is familiar to her being ripped away from her life. After years of grasping all the resources she can from the declining ducal house and it's sick master, Neera meets Davina, the new addition to the harem, as well as a member of the Ronna, an independent tribe in the border with the dukedom.
Together, they make their escape and embark on a journey to find vengeance, wealth, love, and a place to call home.

"I'll kill him myself. No, I'll kill every last one of them. For all who have fallen at their hands and perished from their greed, I won't fall back anymore. I don't need the prince's support. Hell, I don't even care if it means turning the bastard against me."
Her breath was labored, but her eyes burned with determination.
"If there is no man fit to be my king I'll become a monarch myself."

Hello! Shameless self promotion from the author. I wanted to take advantage of this space to clear up some things that didn't fit quite well in the description of the book. For some reason when choosing 'History' and 'Female Lead' as the genre of the novel, Webnovel automatically calls it 'Historical Romance'. Although romance will probably be part of the story further along the line, it will only be secondary to the development of the main character and her surroundings so the 'Historical Romance' is not entirely correct as the main genre. At most I would've added it as a tag, but I didn't find the option available. Also, I find quite disappointing that I can not fix the mistake because the platform immediately defines all female lead novels to be romantic when this may not allways be so. That is all I wanted to say. I will try my best to make the story interesting so please leave any suggestions in the comments! Thank you for checking out my story!
