It hurt like hell when Alpha Micah realized that he had to let go of the love of his life, because he was waiting for the impossible to happen. 

Hazel has died and even though his mind told him to let go, his heart told him to hold on.

Micah could smell her scent long before she came closer to the door, but he needed to conclude this matter first with the dragon shifter.

However, not long after that, Micah heard a noisy sound coming from the door, where the guard, who guarded the door, had a small dispute with Gallahan.

"We will agree on that," Micah said, as he walked away from the dragon shifter, while he bowed his body, but his eyes looked at the king's back sharply. His yellow eyes filled with a lot of emotions that he didn't show to him during their conversation.

Micah then opened the door and strode straight to Hazel, who was hiding behind Gallahan's back. He pulled her to him and hugged her briefly.

"Have you seen the baby?" He asked.

"Yes. Can we go home now?" Hazel didn't want to be in this place any longer than necessary. She was excited to see a dragon shifter, but as it turned out, the Duchess was no different from Gaia.
