"Send her in," Greg Webster said from inside the room and Lia opened the door for Hazel, held it until she walked inside and then closed the door behind her again.

Hazel looked around briefly. Nothing really changed inside this room. The smells of books and Greg's perfume filled the air, even the order of all the certificates that Gaia had achieved were hung against the wall remained the same, while there was none of hers. Unsurprisingly.

It was fine, Hazel had long accepted that and was not particularly disappointed anymore. She knew her status in this family after all.

"Sit," Greg said, nodding his head toward the chair in front of him, staring at the way Hazel carried herself.
