A TREE

Hazel felt as if there was something that tied her down to the ground and not only that, the pain that started to kick in didn't allow her to move at all.

She felt like she was going to die. Would she die? Hazel felt helpless, and the sound of her son's cries agitated her further. She wanted to reach for him and calm him down.

Not even once did she hold her baby. She had not yet felt his warm skin, his tiny fingers. She wanted to know what color his eyes were. Hazel hated it when she was this helpless.

"No… please… my child." Hazel had not even given a name to him yet. What would be his name? What would happen to him if she died here?

The intricate rune that was drawn on the ground, which had Hazel in the center of it, lit up with a drop of Elsa's blood. The cold wind blew and swirled away the veil that she was wearing, revealing her grotesque and disfigured face.
