However, this time, Hazel put her foot down and didn't budge with her decision. "Yes, that's why I care so much about it, because it is my life that is on the line!"

"I will protect you!" Micah snapped at her.

"And you failed twice!" Hazel was surprised when she heard herself say that. She knew it sounded very awful and a low blow to Micah, but she was desperate to get her point across.

Micah's face turned ashen when he heard that.
