What Is Wrong With Her?

After making sure that Ava was no longer scared and jittery about seeing her mother at the park, Mason went back to his home office to finish up with work for the day. Not wanting to be by herself, Ava joined him in the office, keeping herself occupied with one of the novels that Mason had gotten her earlier. They didn't say much to each other but sometimes Ava could feel Mason's eyes on her and sometimes she stole a glance or two at him as well. It was difficult not to stare when you are in a room with such a hot man. Everything about him fascinated her. From the way, he looked so serious when he typed on his computer to how he smiled to himself when he accomplished a task. He was way easier to ignore when they only worked together and weren't married and hadn't shared some levels of intimacy which they have now.

"What would you like to have for dinner?" Mason asked her as he looked up from his laptop.

"Are you done with work?" Ava asked him.
