Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Day came and Ava arrived early at Mason's grandparents' so she could help his grandmother with the preparation for Thanksgiving dinner.

"When will your friend that you invited over expected to be here?" Mason's grandmother asked Ava as they were setting up the table.

"She will be here soon," Ava replied as she glanced at her wristwatch.

"I'm happy you and your husband are celebrating Thanksgiving with us," Mason's grandmother said with a wide smile. "And I'm happy your friend is coming too, it's been a while since we had a full house for Thanksgiving."

"Thank you for agreeing to have my friend come over, I didn't want her to spend Thanksgiving alone."

Mason's grandmother shook her head. "It's nothing dear, like I said, I'm happy to be having a full house. This year I'm happy to have people who will eat all the food that I prepared."
