Jason's surgery wasn't successful as they had anticipated it will be. He still can't walk.

"The party is over, I guess you all can leave," Jason said in a bitter tone not looking at any of them in the room. He didn't need their pity.

"Jason----"

"Mamma not now," Jason snapped cutting into his grandmother's words. "I would like to be left alone. You guys should please just leave."

"Jason we…"

"Let's give him some time alone Mamma," Mason said in a soft voice, placing his arm around his grandmother's shoulders.

Their grandmother had tears in her eyes, she looked heartbroken as turned and left the room. And every other person followed.

"And please don't sit outside my door, I don't anyone around," Jason called after them. He knew he wasn't supposed to take out his anger on them but he just couldn't help it.
