Gone Too Far

 Ben stood in front of the mirror staring at his reflection. There is no going back on what he had just done. His wife is dead and he was the one who killed her.

He inhaled deeply as he brushed his hair. He has already showered, changed his clothes, and was trying to conceal the tiny bruises on his face with a concealer stick. He had seen Jane use it to conceal her bruises in the past after they had a fight and then needed to attend an event together.

He has to come up with a good story for her disappearance not just for the event that they were supposed to attend together this evening. Very soon people will notice her disappearance and he would have to give them something believable.
