A special child.

Liam was a special child.

That started with Liam's power... It was so grand for a newborn... even for a spiritual being.

his mental awareness was developing from the moment he was born, to withstand that rapidly growing power.

And with it for some reason, the emotions that should have been dulling due to his powers were growing stronger.

Not only that, Liam, was able to affect Ronald's emotions... he realized it when he used his powers on Liam, at first they were little emotions, they were barely noticeable... but as time went by, these emotions grow so strong that Ronald could no more pass them as his delusions...

Liam was a special existence to Ronald, more than anyone else... he was a child who taught him how to feel...

Yet that important child's emotions... at some point started to dull... not as much as other highlights level, his strongest remaining emotions was not his happiness nor anything for himself, on the contrary, it was the (caring for others) feeling that remind in him the most... he lost a lot of other things, one of them was that he almost completely lost his ability to express the little feelings that he could feel...

It was so hard on Ronald to see Liam who dragged him out of that anguish, walking to it with his own feet...

Yes... The one who judged to lock them up was Liam himself...

He locked his consciousness, memories, and powers...

Roland knows the key to that lock. that's Because Liam entrusted him with it.

It was not a hard one, and at the moment Ronald held Liam to sleep as he got him out of the boundary he could feel the gears of that lock starting to open...

but Roland couldn't feel completely happy about it starting to unlock that easily... He was heartbroken wherever he recalls what the small child requested. And more heartbroken at how easy it was to achieve, yet he could not do so all these years...

.................................

Roland entered the dining room while holding Liam.

Liam got surprised by many things since he woke up, but what shocked him the most was the size of the mansion.

(Uncle, your home has more space than the whole village)

(Well, I have the largest house in the family after the main mansion, and from now on, it's our house)

(...I don't get it, uncle, what is the main house? And what do you mean our house? will I be living with you?)

(you don't like living with me?)

(N...No, I do! But, what about mom and dad?)

Roland pointed at a large window beside the table in the dining room. And said while placing Liam on a chair in front of the table.

(If you want, they can come later when they get better, they are now in the main mansion, that's your grandpa's house, most of the family members live there. If you look from that window you'd be able to see it.)

Before Liam had the time to look at the window, he was shocked when he saw the huge table full of all sorts of food and drinks in front of him.

(wah! u...uncle?)

(Eat as much as you like, a table like this will be prepared three times a day, only for you)

Liam, who starved for almost all his life, looked at the table in silence for a while... Then he looked at Roland and teared up...

Roland who sat beside him took him in his arms without commenting, patted him, and then started feeding him, little by little.

Liam had to find food for himself from an early age, he would only find small quantities when his mother tells him where to find it. He had to do so even when he was a baby at the age of crawling, and even when he was sick, he had to drag his feet to survive.

Roland was the one who sent in some animals to hide that food in the woods. So that the villagers won't shamelessly take them away from the child. Then he left some traces for his sister to notice.

That was the best Roland could do for him at that time when everything else didn't work. He always felt guilty when he couldn't do more for Liam.

But now, he could feed him whatever the precious child wanted, so why wouldn't he?

After Liam ate his fill, Roland took him to stroll the garden outside, it was a garden full of colorful flowers and trees, and at the side of the garden, there was a small lake.

They sat at a table prepared nearby the lake to take a rest. Roland handed Liam a cup of juice after placing him on a chair.

When Roland saw Liam relaxed, he thought about what they didn't complete before and said to Liam:

(now then, try to close your eyes, lovely child)

(ah, yes)

Liam remembered that Roland was teaching him how to read minds and closed his eyes as Roland told him.

(your body is relaxed, isn't it? that's good... now try to feel the flow around like you always do when you sleep on the grass)

(Are you talking about the river that flows in the air? do you see it too?? even mom and dad think I'm telling them random things when I talk about it.)

Roland answered in a funnily smug voice:

(Not all people can see it, you and I are super great, that's why we can see it!)

But Liam, instead of laughing, answered Roland's joke seriously:

(I see!)

That made Roland laugh. He thought Liam was so cute.

(hahaha~ yes~)
