Group finder

Vero said goodbye to William and left the weapon shop. He got a lot of knowledge from the old man and was thankful for it.

Exploring the ruin could be dangerous and unpredictable, so William's weapon shop sells a lot of guns for different situations. Along with that, he also sells a lot of equipment for hunters, like a portable tent or a flashlight.

Vero was interested in William's offer and bought one of their survival kits. The kit includes a water purifier, a portable tent, a flashlight, a flare gun, and lastly, a signal jammer.

The old man goes through the use of all the items in the bag. First, the water purifier is a universal water purifier. This thing does as the name says, it purifies water from other substances that would be harmful to the body. Although you won't commonly find a water source in the ruin, if you find one, this could come in handy.

Second is the portable tent. As the name suggests, this thing is about a 30 cm canister-shaped object that can be thrown on the ground to create a tent that can squeeze in 2 adults.

Next, a flashlight to illuminate the dark area of the ruin, along with a flare gun that can be used to either scout a dark area for traps or send an SOS signal. The thing could save your life in the ruins if your terminal broke and the SOS team only knew your last location.

And lastly, a signal jammer. This might seem counter-intuitive to include in a survival package, but if you are planning on camping outside, this thing is a must.

The signal jammer acts as a monster repelled. This may appear strange, but it works because most monster robots that survived from the old world use signals, heatwaves, or infrared to locate your location. The signal jammer will make it harder for them to find you. It is often used together with a portable tent when camping.

These qualities of life items are pushed together with a new policy from the hunter guild. This method seems to be working, as it makes the hunter's survival rate higher than in other cities. Vero also benefits from this hunter safety policy since the survival kit price was cut in half.

'It seems like I became a hunter at a very good time.'

Now that's got all he wanted. Vero went to the hunter's guild. His next objective is to find a job that lets him explore the Dumo ruins. The guess is that the cause of the ruintracker invasion is around the ruin, so his plan is to explore the place.

"I'm sorry, but the hunter rank requirement has been adjusted due to the recent sighting of a ruin tracker around the area. We can't risk a young hunter dying there. "

"Is there a way to bypass it?" Vero is shocked by this information.

"You could apply to a high ranking hunter group who's exploring the ruin, but I doubt that someone would accept a young hunter whose rank is only 10"

"Isn't there another way?" He is disappointed.

"Look here, I couldn't do anything about it either. So your option is to increase your rank or find a hunter group that accepts you. If you want to go into the Dumo ruin that badly, we could put you up on the group finder list. "

The receptionist opens a panel that has several names and faces on it. This represents the hunter's rank and other certified skill sets that they have.

"You can apply and write your preference and what you want to do here. If someone wants to have you join their group, they would contract you through the terminal. "

"Wouldn't someone lie on this and post an achievement that they don't have?"

"We do have a certification process for all the achievements that they claim to have, and you can manually review the resume yourself." Usually, hunters wouldn't trust the resume without video evidence."

"Ok," Vero said as he wrote down roughly what he was confident that he could do. Like being a porter or shooting an easy target. He also noticed that the Aimlab video has a certification, so he included that as well. He completed the form, clicked the submit button, and his name appeared on the receptionist's list panel.

"Thank you for using our group finding system! This will ensure that you're happy when finding a group and increase your survival rate! Now you've got to wait for someone to contact you. In the meantime, we recommend you accept other work until you find the right group. "

"What work should I do?" Vero is clueless about what to do as a new hunter.

"We recommend you accept the patrol request as a new hunter. It's the best and safest way to earn money when you're new to the job. The request is in collaboration with the O'ruma City Defense, so a lot of technology is from the inner walls. This is the best possible request for a young hunter to start their journey! "

"I will do the request." Vero felt uncomfortable since the receptionist gurl sounded like she was a robot that had to repeat the sentence more than once.

"Thank you for accepting our request. Please head to the facility before lunch ends to prepare."

Vero thanked the receptionist and left the building.

The dust storm is still blowing over the whole giant ruin tracker, but this time there's a blue particle mixed in with the storm. This is caused by the blue ruin tracker outside generating it from their mouth.

"Is it going well?" A hooded man asks

"It is your holiness. Our army is ready to strike at any moment you desire."

"Not yet. We have to weaken the surrounding area first before we make a clean hit on the tower. Send our believers to O'ruma. Make sure to disguise them well. Our godmother won't be pleased with a failure. "

"As you wish, your holiness"
