Chapter Two

I awoke in a puddle of blood. My whole body ached in pained. I looked around and noticed I was inside a house. Where I was laying was a bed. It was a rickety spring mattress no thicker than my arm. The floor was a worn, aged, old hardwood floor. The walls had a 1950s wallpaper that had been worn and tattered. None of the others were anywhere to be seen.

I stood up and climbed out of the bed and started to walk towards the door. I reached my hand out, but before I could grasp the handle, I heard a blood-curdling female scream. It didn't sound like anyone I knew. It also sounded like it came from below me. I quickly remembered the net in the forest.

What is going to happen to that girl? I thought. I need to find the others.

I opened the door, and behind was a staircase down. To my left were a balcony and a few doors. To my right was a door as well. I opened the door to my right, and Inside was another bedroom.

"Daisy!" I exclaimed.

Daisy was laying on the bed in a puddle of blood. I inspected her body to make sure she was alright. I looked at her hands and arms and everything was fine, to do with missing body parts. she had her legs and toes. The only thing that wasn't fine was, like me, the amount of deep awful cuts all over our bodies. daisy had a deep painful-looking cut on her forearm. Her jeans were cut in a few places, only to show red slashes peering through, oozing with blood.

I shook her hastily as her eyes fluttered open. She groaned before opening her mouth to speak,

"N-Noah? Babe!" she squealed.

I threw my hand up to a pointer finger and tapped my lip to shush her. Her eyes widened with fear and remembered the situation they are currently in. She scurried out of the bed and the two of them crept out of the room.

Upon exiting the room, I caught eyes with Jake. He was leaving the room across the balcony. In front of me, I could see the ground floor. To my right, a staircase flooded into the ground below. As I scanned the ground floor, I noticed the door. A thick, mahogany door, with about 5 locks on it. There was an electronic keypad that apeared to need a code, a wooden slab plastered across the front, 2 padlocks, and a cage around it. I blinked and ignored it for the time being.

Jake walked slowly, with his knees bent. I cocked my head, and motioned silently as to why he was walking in such a way. Jake pointed down at the ground, and then pointed to the ground level, and then to his ear. I nodded as I understood that he was making sure the killer couldnt hear us due to creaky floorboards.

I suddenly grabbed daisy's and Jakes arm, and pulled them into a near by room. There was one directly adjacent to the one I awoke in.

I put my finger to my lips again, and moved my hand down, with my palm facing down.

"Okay, We need to find Pheobe, but first and foremost, we need to make a game plan," Noah whispered.

They both nodded.

"I noticed the door..." Jake whispered, unhopefully.

"Lets not focus on that," I walked over to a dresser against the wall. I opened a drawer and found a screwdriver. I spun on my heel as I held it up, showing it to the group. Jake furrowed his brow, and gently took it out of my hands. He inspected it, and then looked into the distance thoughtfully.

"The killer dude must've forgot this was there?" He whispered.

"We can stab him with it." Daisy said in return, quietly.

"Yeah, but I dont know where he is, I havnt seen him yet." I said gently.

A loud crash was heard a few rooms away. Everyone jumped but remained unheard. Jake peered around the corner, and jolted his torso back, his eyes wide.

"Its him," He squeaked

"Really? what does he look like? whats he doing?" I asked in a hushed tone.

"He tall, he's holding an axe, he has a weired thing on his head. It looks like a beartrap almost. He is wearing an apron, with...red...jelly all over it?" He said with a perserving face.

I shook my head, knowing it wasnt red jelly.

Then, the blade of an axe swung in front of my face, inches away from taking my nose with it. I turned to see the thing. It was happening, this was happening, its real.

He was about 6'7'', He had a metal contraption on his head, the top was flat and resembled almost a book on top of a head piece resembling something you would get from the dentist. I knew it wasnt actually a book, nor dentist hardware, but I noticed the head piece had little prongs that held his eyelids open. His eyes were bloodshot, and his skin was a sickly green color. His eyes was the only thing that was visible. the head piece was covering the rest. He had on baggy blood soaked cargo pants, that seemed to once be beige. he was shirtless, with a bloody apron on. His hands were cracked and his nails were short from labor. He had biceps, and a scar on his left one. He held the axe as he breathed blood thirsty through the head piece.

My chest was quickly heaving in and out as I was assessing the situation.

Suddenly, Jake struck him in the shoulder with the screwdriver. It dug deep into his flesh, but to all of our surprise, he simply peered over at him, lunged for him and swung him onto his shoulder. Jake screamed and squirmed, but the killer body slammed him into the ground, rendering him unconscious, as he swung Jake back into his shoulder. He turned and went into a door in the hallway. He shut the door, and locked it behind him.

Daisy ran after him, but smashed into the door, and started to beat on it. I grabbed her and pulled her into my chest and cupped her cheek.

"We'll be okay," I said as tear started to well up. I pulled her closer after I planted a kiss on her forehead, and pulled her head in to my chest. I mindlessly drew circles on her back, and twirled her hair periodically. She wrapped her arms around my neck and burried her head even deeper into my chest. I heared a whimper come from her, and spoke again.

"Hey, Im here, okay?"

"I didnt make that sound." She said.

I immediately broke the hug and looked around. The room was empty, but then I heared the whimper again. It sounded like below, so I peered under the bed, and met a pair of eyes. Eyes that were tear stained, the eyes of Pheobe.

"Help," She croaked as she reached for me pittifully.

I grabbed her and pulled her up, as she squealed a little.

"A-are you okay?" I asked quickly.

"No..." She said as she gasped in pain.

I wrapped my arms under her arms and picked her up, plopping her on the mattress. Her leg had been mangled. The flesh was ripped up, and about an inch of exposed bone was poking through the front of her calf.

"What happened?" I asked

"I stepped in a beartrap in front of my bed. He caught me and hit me with a plank of wood. I fell forward and my leg stayed put, and my bone broke. He, I dont know, heard something and quickly ran off. I crawled under the bed and waited. I saw you three come in, and was going to come out, but I was worried I was seeing things, so I waited. But then, I heard him attack you guys, and I saw him throw Jake, and I was frozen in fear. I didnt want to come out to see his blood, or one of his limbs, but then the pain got so bad I started to whimper, and then you found me."

Daisy looked worried for her.

"what do we do?" Daisy asked.

Her question was answered, but not by me. It was answered by another unfamiliar scream. Daisy grabbed a pole near by and broke a hole through the thin wooden door. She climbed through the hole and disapeared out of sight.

"Daisy! Wait, stop!" I fell as I attemped to grab her ankle but was too late. "Fuck," I muttered under by breath.

Then my heart skipped a beat. Because thats when I heard it. The horror. the revving of a chainsaw.
