Chp.47: Warning

"Hey old man!" Desmond shouted from behind Stuart. Stuart who was going to open the door calmly turned around to look at him. He didn't even flinch one bit when Desmond yelled.

"Yes, your highness." He said making a bow. Calm and trying to avoid any kind of event that can upset Desmond.

"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk." Desmond clicked his tongue as he looked at Stuart. "Look at you. Trying to avoid anything that is controversial eh?" He found it fun when someone stayed calm and yet flustered.

"It is nothing. There is nothing like that, your highness." Stuart said calmly.

"Hmm? Really?" Desmond looked down on Stuart as he easily towered over the short and old man.

"Very well." Desmond said as a whining child. "Seems that you have finally learned something after serving me for so many years." Desmond said hoping that one last time, he could see Stuart panicked.

But no change. "Fine. I give up." He broodingly gave over his fun time.

Stuart turned around and finally opened the door to the office of Servant Records.

"But that reminds me-" Desmond said as he walked close go Stuart, "Were you going to tell that maid's location to the queen?" He asked. His voice stone cold and enough to make Stuart shudder.

A chill ran down Stuart's spine as he couldn't even dare to turn around and look at Desmond's face.

"That was a mistake... that was a mistake." Stuart said to himself as he grew nervous in every passing by second. Because he knew very well, he could never tell this to Desmond and his life maybe on the line.

"If this man and the king can change and restore the palace in onr day, then they can make me vanish anytime. And nobody would even know." Stuart thought to himself. He was sweating profusely and more importantly regretting, why did he ever get entangled in the matters of royal palace.

Duncan, Desmond and everyone else wouldn't even remember that Stuart was the guard who guarded them most of their childhood from any kind of threats.

"They were and will always remain thankless." Stuart almost wanted to cry as he turned around. But to his utmost surprise, when he turned around he looked at Desmond.

And the point to be noted was that - Desmond wasn't really angry. Infact he had his infamous smile which indicated that he is on his way to doing some king of mischief. He was that kind of person - Lunatic. "That's right. It's like he changes his face according to the phase of the moon." Stuart tried to control himself from doing any kind of further mistake.

"What?" Desmond asked as Stuart could not help but look with confusion at him.

"Uh...um.." Stuart didn't want to begin any kind of conversation at all lest he wanted to make any kind of mistake.

"It's fine. Go ahead and tell the queen. It will be all the more fun." The smirk grew wider and wider. "Tell the queen right away, since I want to see what her reaction will be. Will she go to see this maid? Will she ignore? Hmm?" Desmond was too dramatic when he was notorious.

But Stuart easily understood the order right away. Afterall he saw this brat growing up with these unusual antics of his. "Yes your highness. I'll tell the queen. I'll infrom her of the maid." Stuart sai making a bow.

"Hmm. Perfect. " Desmond said with an arrogant smirk. "Aren't you a funny thing? Fun to be with?" Desmond said as he cackled and laughed. His voice echoed inside the room, the office of the Head butler. Between the huges stacks of papers, books and closed windows Desmond's notorious laughter echoed more and more.

Stuart quickly wrapped up the task of assigning Desmond some king of area for work in the queen's palace. Although he himself was confused about the intentions of the duke, he knew there must be some kind of plot to this.

After all he himself was so urgently appointed as the butler in one single night after the fire at the queen's palace. And when he knew for certain all the people who were witness of that very event, have been so clearly disposed off.

The better thing to do in this atmosphere would be to stay quiet and go with the flow.

Meanwhile inside Regina's room.

"Greeting your majesty. I am Ellie." A maid made a bow and a greeting to Regina. Regina also nodded her head.

"I've prepared the bath your majesty. Shall we head straight to the bathtub?" Ellie asked cheerfully.

Regina nodded her head yet again. They walked towards the big bathroom. Regina didn't speak a word as her mind was too occupied.

After getting to know Stuart, the sudden information of replacement of the servants and the existence of Desmond who looked like he was going to play games inside the Eastern palace disguised as the servant; Regina's thoughts were flowing in every possible direction.

But she did notice Ellie.

Ellie was one among the huge staff the king appointed to work for the queen and for the Eastern palace. People who now Regina had to pretend were appointed by pure and loving intentions of the king.

Where she knew all too well, that these servants were just like a replacement to old ones. Diffrent people were appointed to keep an eye on diffrent activities of the queen. They were like the king's third eye and Regina couldn't make any mistakes in front of them.

"It is impressive how he managed to make it all possible in one night." Regina thought to herself, as she could feel her body melting and calming inside the warm water as she sat in the bath tub.

Ellie was there to assist Regina. And one of the many things that stood out about Ellie was she was very talkative.

She had the probable talent of talking even when no one was talking back.

"This kind of talent is impressive." Regina thought to herself. But her thoughts were more than clear right now.

"A lot of things have happened in just a matter of few days. I need to keep a track of all the happenings to not get lost." Regina thought silently as she pretended to listen to Ellie.

Her thoughts were already rushing in and out of her mind as her body relaxed even more by every passing moment. She was sleepy until Ellie suddenly asked a question.

"Are you Urara?" Regina's eyes wide open as she quickly grabbed Ellies neck. She stood right up swiftly and didn't hesitate.

She was choking the made right in front of her.

"So you were more than just a maide?" Regina asked in a deep and threatening voice.

"No, no your majes... your majesty..kuh kuh" Regina was choking her very bad. Her swift moment and tight grip was even more firm. Despite of the fact that her body was all wet due to the water, the bathtub had lathered soap and the grip of her hand should now have become were slippery.

"Who send you here? I want to know." Regina said as she clenched her teeth. Only one thought occupied her mind now - I must kill anyone who might become a threat to me in this palace.

"I ... I was sent by... kuf kug... Lady Rachel." Ellie struggled to speak.

"Lady Rachel?" Regina didn't want to believe the words of a maid who knew she wasn't Rachel. It was like the maid knew too much, for her to stay alive.

Ellie probably was ready for this situation as she handed over a necklace from a pocket even while Regina was choking her.

"This..." Regin immediately let go her grip and held the necklace in her hand. Her expressions changed in a fraction of a second.
