As I left the morgue in the middle of the night, I looked around at my surrounding. "It's like it was just a nightmare" I mutter to myself as I walk tough the streets, surrounded by tall buildings. Having a rough time accepting what happened to me.
"Well you looked like you were having fun right? Zombie Boy." Michael started to laugh in my head.
"Well what did you expect! I was blow to bits and I woke up in a bag and started grunting. I'm glad they didn't use something worse then a broom handle." I sighed as I talk to Michael.
"Don't worry it seems like they are pretty nice humans. So I guess the plan is to go back to your moms house?"
"I guess"
I slowly walked down the street as the cold wind blew me by. I watched as people walked passed me, couples go into hotels, workers going back home from work, and teenagers partying the night away.
I left all of the sights behind and went into the train station and waited to go back home.

I get off the train and climb up the stairs. And look at the small town that I grew up in, where even time doesn't seem to affect. I walk through the empty back streets and walk in front of a house that's standing tall.
I walk up the steps onto the porch feeling quite nervous about having to explain why I've been gone for so long. Looking at the door I see that's it already opened a width of a crack. I push the door opened scared that the man and women wanted to make me suffer even in the after life by hurting my family.
As I run into the house I see my mother sitting on the ground in the living room. "MOM! Are you ok? What happened here? Why are you on the floor like this?"
See looks into my face "Oh… Jake how I miss you." I freeze.
"What do you mean? Why would you miss me. Sure I was gone for a week or so but that doesn't mean you shouldn't break down like this."
"Why wouldn't I? You're dead and I miss you so dearly. I'm going so crazy I'm talking to a figment of my imagination."
I help her get up from the floor and put her on the couch and look her right in the eyes. "Mom I'm right here, I'm completely real you aren't imagining me." I hug her, and let her feel my warmth.
Her eyes go wide then she starts sobbing, as she puts her arms around me in a hug. Then she starts to fully cry letting out all the tears she thought she ran out of.
Suddenly a loud bang happens at the front door. "Mom are you ok? You left the door open again, I know you miss him but you have to make sure to protect yourself." A tall man walks into the living room with two people hugging and freezes. "Jake is that you."
I look over to him, "Yep and I'm home sorry for not visiting brother."
