One year later (19 years until cannon, The Holy Land)

(Makeshi POV)

"You seem nervous Makeshi'', and just like Issho said I was nervous, how could I not be nervous I was getting promoted to the position of Admiral today. (I decided to open more positions for Admirals because its stupid to only have three)

(FlashBack two months ago, Sengoku's office, same POV)

"Makeshi due to your various exploits and achievements during your time as a Marine, I, Kong, and the Gorosei have decided to promote you to Admiral, do you accept?. Before you make a decision, I want to remind you that the Admirals serve directly under the Tenryuubito, and I know your views about them".

Chuckling I answer "I agree to the promotion, and you don't have to worry about me killing a Tenryuubito, even if they call for my help I can always be busy with other tasks".

Letting out a long sigh he tells me "You can't always be busy, sooner or later you'll have to do your duty. And once you take this promotion Issho will ascend the ranks as well, you won't be able to work with him as much as you do"

"I'll deal with that problem once it arises. And I know Issho will find a way without me XE-XE".

"Alright, then your new codename will be Byakko (White Fox)".

(Flash back end)

"I'm getting promoted to Admiral, and I have to meet the Tenryuubito, and they don't exactly like me after the last Reverie when I used my haki on one of them".

Shrugging he tells me "The Gorosei value you, so even if they wanted to, the Tenryuubito can't do anything to you".

"That stops being true the moment I anger someone important".

Before we could continue our talk Sengoku interrupts us, "Makeshi it's time you meet your new superiors".

Hearing him I nod and follow him out of the room. You all might be asking, Who are these new superiors? The answer to that is simple, the Tenryuubito, as you might already know the Admirals are direct subordinates to them so naturally I have to meet them so they can get acquainted with them. Even though I'm their subordinate I still take missions from HQ so that's good.

--- (6 hours later)

Meeting those trashbags was worse than expected, even though they have all the resources in the world they still smell like the absolute shit they are.

The worst of them all was a man by the name of Saint Morris, when his slave looked him in the eye, he forced me to kill him, an order I, unfortunately, had to follow.

Surprisingly not all of them were bad, one of them didn't even have slaves, and we definitely got along because just like me he didn't agree with most of the Tenryuubitos ideals, like keeping everything for themselves, instead he believed that his duty as a noble was to give to the people, he was actually responsible for a lot of charity in the world, the only bad thing about him is that he still maintained some arrogance in the way he carries himself.

I was entertaining those thoughts on the edge of the Red Line, I always came here when I needed some space. Before I could do anything else my Den Den Mushi started ringing *Peroperopero*.

Answering, I say "Admiral Byakko go ahead".

The person who answered me had a very particular voice, one I recognized as Dragon.

"Makeshi, it seems you really did get promoted to Admiral and the youngest in history at that".

"What do you want, Dragon? I know it's not praising me".

"HAHAHA, you're right, you haven't reported anything I wish to know why".

Gritting my teeth I tell him "I don't report to you Dragon, this alliance between us is beneficial for me. but I haven't told you anything because there's nothing to tell, the only thing important happening right now is Shiki's recent appearances in the New World, and how pirate crimes have diminished 15% since the world military draft".

Humming he asks "How long do you think the Revolutionary army has until the marine starts focusing on us".

"You don't have to worry about that crime might be dropping but pirate crews aren't, the only thing that's changed is that pirates don't attack towns and cities as much as they used to, but pirate crews still emerge every day".

"I see, hopefully, we still have more time to grow".

Widening my eyes I remember something "That might not be possible".

Raising an eyebrow (The snail obviously) he asks "Why is that?".

"I heard that the Gorosei plan on naming you the world's most dangerous criminal, and with a reputation like that not many will join your cause".

The last thing I heard from him was a growl before he hung up.
