Chapter 4: The First Person in History

Xu Mo and Ye Qingdie went shopping on their way back.

After signing the contract, Ye Qingdie received an advance payment of three hundred thousand Federation dollars.

On their way back to Future City, Xu Mo and his companion noticed a group of people patrolling the area, who seemed to be bodyguards; several of them kept their gaze fixed on him.

As Xu Mo continued forward, he saw two figures chatting ahead.

One of them was the austere old gentleman he had seen the other day, while the other was a middle-aged man, around forty, dressed plainly and neatly.

Sensing Xu Mo's gaze, both men looked his way.

The old gentleman smiled and nodded his head, obviously remembering Xu Mo.

Xu Mo nodded back and moved his gaze away, walking past without the other party minding, as they kept on chatting.

Their voices were not loud, but Xu Mo still overheard their conversation, which appeared to be about a political topic.

Was the old gentleman a politician?
