The two of them exited the club, with their coats in hand.
"My car is over there." He told her.
"Here I was thinking we would have to get a cab." She told him.
"I've never taken a cab a day in my life." He proclaimed to her.
"The car would have given you points. But now you've ruined it with all the trash talk." She told him, frowning a bit.
"Humility has never been one of my strong suits." He told her.
"Well, you're gonna have to learn now won't you."
He opened the car door for her, swinging around the other side to get in the drivers seat.
The two of them didn't really say much on the drive home. They exchanged knowing looks and carefully stolen glances that was all but concealed.
