A Difficult Talk

He may as well have gotten run over by the next car because if not for Joey, he would have mindlessly stepped into oncoming traffic.

Gunner sighed as he realized anew that this was a problem that was not about to go away. She was a problem and he wished that it was because she looked like that but that was only a half of why.

She upset all the things he had put in place. Why did she have to come now of all times. He hated that he saw past what she looked like even though that never ceased to shock him.

Sure she looked like an exact copy of Lizzie but she was also her own person too.

He had gritted his teeth when Joey bumped into her on the sidewalk.

He knew what was going to happen and how that was going to end and he did not like it one bit from the very start of it all.
