Chapter 19: Ira

Hearing this her resolute expression faltered. "This… Sir, I am in a slave contract under TATA Emporium so I can't just leave like that." She didn't want to burden Vishnu but there is no choice.

"Oh! That is simple. Let me talk to your manager. I'll just buy you then." Vishnu didn't have any clue that what he just said would soon bring a calamity.

A screen is showing the footage of the interaction between Vishnu and the brown-haired girl. Two people are watching this footage right now. Even though no audio is available they still looked at the screen with seriousness.

"Did we find any information on the man?" Asked the person with a long beard. His eyes didn't look away from Vishnu's image even for a second. If one is powerful enough they could feel sword energy emanating from the man. For weaker ones, they won't even feel a thing. The other middle-aged woman bowed at the man. One could see sweat appearing on her forehead, "Apologies Master, We've searched for him everywhere and looked through our all information but we don't have a clue about his identity." The woman feels like crying. Even though she did nothing wrong but her master is not a kind person.

"I'm going to Bluecloud City for the upcoming Auction, you better have something for me by the time I return." The man spoke as he left.

The woman kept bowing at the man, Only after the man left did she stand straight. "I should've captured him when I had the chance but the lack of information about his background left me in hesitation, tch." She felt annoyed as she looked at Vishnu's picture like she'd murder someone.

The reason for all this drama is because the man in the footage has just bought the girl from them but that isn't a big issue for them to take this matter so seriously the reason for their seriousness is the thing the man gave them to buy the girl.

"Oh! That is simple. Let me talk to your manager. I'll just buy you then" Vishnu said the word casually but it caused the girl's heart to skip a beat. Not in a romantic way but in horror. She suddenly thought that this guy might be aware that she is under a slave contract under TATA Emporium and he can't force himself on her that is why he is doing all this. Vishnu looked at her face and could guess what she is thinking "I've no interest in your body. You have great talent don't let it go to waste." Vishnu didn't say much after that.

The girl fell into contemplation but gritted her teeth as she decided to trust this handsome stranger. "Let's go the manager of the whole building is on the 18th floor."

Vishnu didn't say much and just followed her. As they reached the floor Vishnu could notice that this floor is different from other floors. There aren't any shops here and they had to pass through a security check to get here.

"Oh! By the way, what is your name?" Vishnu finally remembered that he doesn't even know the girl's name. Looking at her she is probably 18-19 years of an age Vishnu deduced.

"It's Ira." The girl said.

"Good name" Vishnu nodded. The girl Ira didn't say much just kept walking until they finally reached a door. Ira knocked on the door twice and a middle-aged man opened the door. He eyed both Vishnu and Ira. Ira whispered something in his ears to which he closed the door. After waiting for 5 minutes the door opened again and they were let inside.

Vishnu sat on a sofa and looked around. The word luxurious felt like an understatement. Ira stood behind Vishnu. After another 2 minutes, a middle-aged woman came. Dressed in Blue and white with jewelry all around her body.

Vishnu could sense a powerful aura coming from the woman 'Peak of Core Formation' Vishnu was surprised that a mere Branch manager of an Emporium has such a cultivation base. But he didn't show it on his face. He calmly smiled and slightly bowed to the woman. The woman just nodded at Vishnu. She looked at Ira and then at Vishnu. She got the gist of the situation. A rich young man who wants to buy a beautiful toy. There have been many such requests as they have many beautiful employees male and female but almost all the time they were turned down. They are not here opening a slavery shop. The reason she agreed to meet this young man is because Ira came with the guy. Generally, all those who come to buy her have come alone as she didn't want to leave with them, a clear indication of her decision but this time she came that means she wants to leave but whether she could or not, all depended on the person in front of them.

"Hello madame, I would like to buy Ira from you the money is not an issue so you can state your requirements." Vishnu politely said. Even though he doesn't have much interest in Ira, Arthur told him that she could be an asset to him to which Vishnu also thought that even though he isn't creating his faction now having some trustworthy people would be good and as he freed Ira from here predicament she wouldn't betray him.

'Probably?' Even Vishnu can't be sure if someone would betray him or not but he'd try to gain their trust so that they wouldn't do that.

The Madame scoffed. She has seen many rich young guys and they didn't have any influence on her.

"We don't sell our employees here 'sir', So no matter how much amount you give, we don't have a deal here." The sarcasm in her voice was obvious to see. She didn't even think Vishnu could do anything to her or might have that much support. She knows all the important figures in the empire and she has never seen this young man in front of her.

And indeed as Vishnu is currently using a disguise he couldn't use the name Elemental Heaven sect. If he hadn't used his disguise this woman would've given Ira for free as his face is famous on the continent. Almost everyone who has knowledge about cultivation and is up to date with the news has seen his picture as it has seen recorded or clicked by either sect members and sold all around.

Hearing the madame's response Ira started getting nervous. She didn't want to stay here anymore. And as she has come with Vishnu here it shows his intention to leave. And if she stays here after this her treatment would get worse and worse.

Vishnu looked at this madame and went into deep thought. He can't possibly kidnap this girl as the security is too tight. 'So I've to use it huh!' he mumbled as he took a box out of his storage ring. Seeing the storage ring the madame didn't feel much surprise but it still had some impact cause not just anyone could have a storage ring. But it still wasn't enough to move her and neither was it Vishnu's intention.

The box was small. A little bit bigger than a ring box. He slid the box toward madame.

"As I said you can't jus...." She was rejecting Vishnu but he interrupted her

"You can first take a look inside before making a decision," Vishnu said as he leaned back on the sofa. Seeing the young man this confident the madame became curious too. She took the box and opened it. Instantly a peculiar aroma filled the room. The astonishment on madame's face was clearly Visible. She quickly shut the box close. She looked around and could see the guard standing near the door. She flicked her hand and the head of the guard rolled down.

Vishnu looked at the scene as if it was the natural course of action. Ira looked stunned not knowing what in heaven happened.

"So I'd like to take my leave." Vishnu smiled as he got up from his seat.

The madame also smiled brightly as if her previous act never happened and escorted Vishnu and Ira out of her chamber herself.

After leaving the chamber Vishnu didn't waste much time, he contacted Chen Jiaxin through a talisman and informed her to leave as quickly as possible, "Meet me outside the city with Fenrir quickly and make sure that you're not being followed." Vishnu sent her the message as he grabbed Ira and left the Emporium quickly. After leaving the Emporium Vishnu used the paste to change his disguise and used it on Ira too as they left the city.

Even though the chances of something happening are low but he didn't want to depend on chances. The reason? because he has just given something that couldn't be made by any people other than the top 3 alchemists on the continent.
