Chapter 2: Visiting The Strict Mrs Bai

The car stopped in front of a chicken restaurant. They all got down from the car. Not waiting for Liu Hua to speak, she dashed into the restaurant.

Xiu Min got down to open the door for Liu Hua.

"Boss, I don't think this is a good idea", Xiu Min said in worried tone.

"Since when did your opinion matter?" Liu Hua cut in with a very cold aura. Xiu Min could only bow his head.

With pride, Liu Hua walked into the restaurant.

Inside the restaurant, Bai Fenxi saw her mom, Qin Li and Han Yingpei sitting in the same table.

Her face lost its colour as she coldly glared at the two people sitting with her mom.

"Mom, why are they here?" She turned to her mom.

"You little rascal, is this how you greet your mother?", Bai Fen yelled back at her.

Bai Fenxi rolled her eyes at her as she gritted her teeth to hide her pain, "Good evening mother. Why are they here?" She pointed to the two sitted.

Bai Fen wanted to scold her again but got interrupted by Qin Li, "Auntie Bai, please don't be mad at Xi'er. It's our fault. We didn't tell her that we were coming to visit", she spoke in her most sweetest voice that the anger Bai Fen felt slowly dissipated.

Bai Fenxi only scoffed.

Qin Li sure was a drama queen.

"See how well behaved Li'er is! You are not even up to it and you call yourself my daughter. How I wish Li'er was my daughter!"

'Then you should have worked on your genes then', Bai Fenxi sneered in thought.

She tried to calm her nerves down as she forced out a smile, "I'm sorry mother. I will do better in the future but you haven't answered my question", she coldly glared at Han Yingpei, "Why are they here?"

Bai Fen hissed at her, "You will never change, will you?! Qin Li had already explained. They came to pay you a visit and since you were not at home, they kept me company. They had been of help with the restaurant".

"We came to see you Xi'er! It's been so long", Qin Li said as she held Bai Fenxi arms.

Bai Fenxi felt disgusted while she slowly but firmly removed her hands from Qin Li's.

"Well since you've seen me, I think it's high time you take your leave", Bai Fenxi said without sparing her a glance.

Qin Li's smile slowly vanishes from her face.

"Bai Fenxi! What's wrong with you?! Li'er is your best friend! Why are you acting so cold?!"

"Mom I know that but I want to speak with you ALONE", She emphasized on the last word.

"Auntie Bai, I understand what Xi'er is saying. I and brother Yingpei will be on our way", Qin Li faked a sad face but inside she was fuming in rage.

'Who does this slut think she is?'

"Li'er sit down! Anything you want to say, you can say it here".

"But... "

A cold voice interrupted.

"Since mother in law wants everyone to know about our love then there's no need to hide our relationship, honey".

Everyone turned to Liu Hua's side.

Majestically, he strode to Bai Fenxi's side gently holding her by the waist as he smiled faintly at Bai Fen.

"Fenxi, who's this man?!"

"Mom, that's why I wanted to speak with you alone", Bai Fenxi explained understanding what Liu Hua was doing she decided to act along, "Mom, this is my husband. Liu Hua!" She leaned on his shoulder.

Bai Fen, Qin Li and Han Yingpei were in utter shock.

Bai Fen fumed in rage as she yelled, "What do you mean husband?! When did you get married?! You this unruly child! I'm going to give you a painful spank!" she pounced on Bai Fenxi.

Bai Fenxi ran to hide near Liu Hua. Liu Hua just stood there expressionless.

"Is this what you want to use your life for?! You just want to waste your future!" Bai Fen yelled as she continued chasing after Fenxi.

"Mom, stop! You're hurting me!" Bai Fenxi cried out in pain.

"You're still talking! What more do you want to say, huh?!"

"I'm pregnant!" She screamed with her last breath.

Bai Fen froze on a spot in shock. Even Liu Hua was surprised but it didn't show on his face.

Han Yingpei was the first to talk after a whole minute of silence, "What are you saying?! Xi'er, this is not funny at all! Do you know what you are saying?!", he pointed to Liu Hua, "Is it this man that is forcing you to say all of this?!"

Bai Fenxi coldly snorted, "And how is that any of your business?! Whether he forced me or not, mind your business!"

Qin Li had to defend Han Yingpei.

"Xi'er! Why are you acting this way?! Brother Yingpei was only trying to help you. Who knows whether this man is forcing like he said?! Just listen to him!"

Fenxi could not stand this pretense anymore. She could only groan in more rage.

"He did not force me neither will I listen to what you and Yingpei want to say! He's my husband so I don't feel that it's wrong if I'm pregnant. Hubby say something", She pouted as she glanced at Liu Hua tugging his suit telling him to play along.

"Everybody quiet!" Bai Fen yelled for perfect silence.

"Xi'er! This is your husband right?!"

"Yes mother".

"Also you're pregnant?!"

She nodded again.

Bai Fen slowly took in a deep breath.

"Okay then. I have nothing else to say", Bai Fen just sat down as she placed her head on the table. Bai Fenxi could not believe that her mother did not even scold her at all. That's was little suspicious.

"Mom, are you really in support of all this?" Fenxi asked without moving a step closer to her mother.

"Yes. I knew this day will come when my daughter will finally bring a man to my house apart from her friends", Bai Fen seemed a little excited about the whole situation.

"Auntie Bai, what are you talking about?" Qin Li couldn't help but ask.

Fenxi hurriedly interrupted, "What do you mean by that?! Since my mom had already agreed to it then there's no need to waste time on this".

Bai Fen was not just happy about the fact that her 26 years old daughter had already found herself a man but a hot shot too. She was overjoyed.

"Oh look at the time! My hubby, it's been a long day and you must be tired. I think it's time for you to go. Mom, I will just see him out", Liu Hua and Bai Fenxi left.

Outside the restaurant,

Bai Fenxi distanced herself away from Liu Hua as she awkwardly cleared her throat, "So when will I sign the contract then?!"

Xiu Min handed a card to Bai Fenxi.

"That's my business card. The address is written under it. Make sure you are early", Liu Hua said, indifferently.

Without much to say, Liu Hua's car drove off.

Bai Fenxi just kept on looking at the card like she was staring at her future.

How was her life going to be as Mrs Liu?

Will the Liu family accept her?

What about the baby?

What will he be accepted into the Liu family?

All these thoughts worried her dearly but she just had to accept her fate.
