Chapter 4
Kevin wandered about on the highway, not knowing where to go.
With a suitcase he dragged here and there. Uncertain direction and purpose.
Kevin stopped at the bus stop. His plan was to go away from where he lived. Want to stay away from Mama and Papa.
Kevin contacted Chris from college. And asked for a place to stay a few days.
"Chris, can I stay at your house for a few days. Please, I was kicked out of the house. I don't hold any money," Kevin said.
"What? Expelled? Seriously. How can your mother throw you out of your own house," Chris objected to Kevin staying at his house.
"Is it okay, I'll be there now," said Kevin asking for an opinion.
"Is that so," Chris wanted to say no but it was hard.
"You can't, what kind of friend are you Chris. If I'm in trouble you don't want to help. Even though you spend my money every day too," Kevin didn't want to hear Chris' answer. He felt that his one friend could no longer be trusted.
He contacted some of his friends who he often took to clubs, parties, cafes and other places that cost him a lot of money.
None of them wanted to give Kevin a place to stay. Especially now that Kevin has no money. To them he was of no use. Cannot be used anymore.
"Oh, so our friendship is like this. They only see my money. When I became poor none of them wanted to help me, watch out, you guys!" Kevin will avenge their actions one day.
Kevin took a folding wallet in his back pocket. Look at the money, which is only a few red sheets.
"Can I live with this leftover money?" Kevin didn't think he had to choose his own life. Without Mom and Dad.
When the bus stopped at the stop, Kevin got into the bus. This bus is a bus to the city of Semarang.
"I have to leave Surabaya City. I will prove I can live without Papa Mama," Kevin comforted himself.
Several hours passed, Kevin got off at the City bus stop.
Kevin was silent, where would he go.
He kept walking through the streets of the city there. Stop and look here and there. Want to find a place to spend the night. It was getting late, he had to find a place to sleep that night.
Arriving at a shop, Kevin reads an HVS paper pasted on the front door of the shop.
"Cheap cost Rp. 250.000/month"
"I want it. Enough for me to sleep for a month, the price is affordable. Instead of me wandering around on an unclear street," Kevin muttered to himself.
Arriving at the men's boarding house. He met the landlady. And paid in full for him to stay a month there.
Kevin entered the boarding house which was lined with 10 rooms. Facing each other, with a room measuring 4m², good for a bed and a place for clothes.
Kevin entered his room, and immediately laid his body on the mattress that was not soft. And there is a pillow that is used to put his head. Hard, uneven makes the head hurt.
"Gosh, this is really really bad, if I sleep on this super hard mattress every day. I might all be crushed," Kevin grumbled, unable to say any more. He had to be patient with the
That night was the first night he slept in a man's boarding house of his own choosing. Until he fell asleep on his own.
Kevin woke up, looking at his watch showing 10:00 at night.
"Krucukkkk,"
I heard Kevin's stomach growl.
"Ow, I'm really hungry. I forgot I didn't eat this afternoon," Kevin stood up and left the boarding room, locked the door and went looking for food to prop his stomach.
Kevin sat in a long chair on the side of the road complex. Looking right and left waiting for whatever seller will pass in front of him.
One seller knew campur was going to get past him, with a wheelbarrow he pushed with extra force, but didn't make it fast. Because of the weight of the cart. A bit tired too, it seems the seller
Kevin waited patiently for her. Until two actually arrived in front of him, without having to approach.
"Sir buy!" he shouted, the wheelbarrow stopped right in front of him.
"One serving of mixed tofu, sir," said Kevin.
"Yes sir, please wait!"
It didn't take long for the order to be ready. Quickly because Kevin's hunger immediately devoured him.
"You're not from here, sir, you've never seen the problem, sir," asked the tofu seller.
"Yes, Bang, I just went to Semarang this afternoon," Kevin replied, not stopping to chew.
Without being lazy, the seller asked Kevin who was eating. Totally disrespectful.
"Mas it looks like the son of a rich man, from your clothes and appearance, you can see that you are rich," he said with a grin.
"Haha. No sir, where are rich people eating on the side of this glorious road?" Kevin denies the truth.
The silent night was loud because of their laughter. In the complex area there is indeed quiet far from public roads. No one goes past 9am and up.
"It's quiet, sir," said Kevin. Feeling confused by the environment as dead as it is uninhabited.
"Yes, Mas, at this hour it's really quiet. It's a complex area. You live in Bu Ani's boarding house, right!" Asked the salesman by walking up to Kevin and sitting next to him.
"Yes, sir. The boarding house children seem to be sleeping too. It's quiet and there's no chatter between the several rooms there," Kevin said.

The next day, Kevin just lay in the room. What should he do out there. Is he trying to find a job.
Not what he wanted at all. But by relying on his high school diploma, he can get an impromptu job.
The fastest to be a cleaner. Elementary school did not even get him a rank.
A week he applied for a job there. from the shopkeeper was not accepted, in the arithmetic test, everything was wrong. Even those who have shops are afraid that their merchandise is selling well but they don't have the money. Private lessons for elementary school children, hehehe never tried to make their children smart from their teachers, worst of all, he tried to become a farmer. There was absolutely nothing he could do.
In the end he met someone who hired him as a waiter in a food stall. Not too fancy, but he's pretty good at doing things slowly and still learning. It's unfortunate that he's a young famous Chef's son.
Ah, it makes him dizzy if he has to remember his parents who have kicked him out of the house.
Can they be said to be good parents, who have the heart to let their child wander off the streets like this?
In his heart Kevin will prove that he can live without the help of his papa and mama.
He would be fighting from scratch. He thought to himself.

"Kevin, this month you replaced Tino, so you bought the needs of the shop at the market!" Tell Mrs. Rosa, the owner of the shop, which is located on the side of the highway, not far from where she lives.
"Okay, Mrs. Rosa," Kevin answered politely
"It's really sad to see this handsome young man with slanted eyes having to work hard at this shop. But what can you do. He wants the job," Mrs. Rosa muttered as she saw Kevin who was trying hard for his job.
