Chapter 37
Mr. Jack Wilson and Nirmala walked together, making the viewer feel jealous, especially Jack's friends who were there. Jack dragged a chair for Nirmala to sit.
"Get some rest, you must be tired from the long journey from home to here, while waiting for the first singer to sing," said Wilson, who sat close to Nirmala. Jack started to look at Nirmala again. But Nirmala didn't care, she was busy playing with her cellphone even though she didn't see anything on the sophisticated square-shaped object, she just looked away from Jack who was next to her.
"What's wrong with this person, why has he been watching me like that. I don't feel comfortable seeing him, should I just change places?" Nirmala asked herself. While looking around him.
"What the hell are you doing why are you staring at that cell phone and is anyone going to call you right now?" Jack Wilson lowered the corners of his lips down. He felt a little annoyed with Nirmala's ignorance of him, actually at this time he wanted to sing with Nirmala on stage.
Nirmala stopped playing with her cellphone and at this moment she looked at the face of Jack Wilson which was not far from hers.
"Sorry Mr. Jack Wilson, tonight I'm nervous because you've been watching me incessantly, I just looked away so as not to sound bad for my nervousness," answered Nirmala with a little sigh but Jack didn't see it. Nirmala had to be professional at that time.
If he is nervous his performance singing on stage will not be good.
Not long after, Nirmala's palm which was on one of her thighs was gently grasped by Jack. Nirmala is shocked, what does this man mean to her.
Immediately he waved Jack's right hand in any direction. He didn't want others to see him like this.
"Why are you avoiding me?" Jack was still looking at Nirmala's beautiful eyes through the two eye sockets of the mask she was wearing.
"Don't overdo it with me Mr. Jack!" Nirmala answered by brushing her hair forward and stroking it slowly. Jack saw his graceful hand stroking her long hair.
"Ehm, don't you like it when I watch you Isabella?" Jack pouted with questions.
"Do I have to answer that question sir? Tonight I work. So stop saying sweet things in front of me," said Nirmala, no longer wanting to see her because her attitude towards him today was too much.
"Tomorrow night I give you a day off, I want to take you to dinner. Do you want it. This is your boss's request!" Jack insisted, until Nirmala could not refuse.
"Well, only limited to superiors and subordinates," said Nirmala.
"Ok, I'll pick you up at 07.00. You should be ready!" His orders are to Nirmala who hasn't seen her yet.
"Really you Isabella, the more you run from me the more excited I will be to get to you!" Jack huffed in annoyance, but he was quite satisfied with getting one chance to be with him tomorrow night. He was looking forward to that moment. Jack couldn't wait until the night came.
Nirmala felt that there was something strange according to the schedule, and that night she was singing again with Sonya but on the first appearance why didn't Sonya sing instead, where is the other woman now?
Without hesitation he asked Jack Wilson who was still loyal to him.
"Tonight I don't see Sonia, where is that girl? Is she allowed to take a day off tonight?" Nirmala asked slightly turning to Jack Wilson.
"I fired him from here he won't be singing in this place anymore." Jack answered flatly, he still remembered about Nirmala being locked in the bathroom which made her faint.
"Why did you do that did he make such a fatal mistake that you have to fire him?" Nirmala asked because she didn't know that Sonya had locked her in the bathroom that night.
"Yes, he has made a mistake so fatal that I can't forgive him," replied Jack Wilson, looking into Nirmala's sharp eyes.
"Turns out he's vindictive too, he can't forgive other people's mistakes. There's no second chance for him," Nirmala muttered in her heart.
"How are you now Isabella?" Asked Jack worried about Nirmala's health.
"My body is fine right now, thank you for your concern about my health," Nirmala replied, not giving Jack the slightest smile.
"You should have done a diagnosis as soon as possible so the doctor would know what to do for your cure," Jack said giving his opinion.
"Yes I know, I will sing first to get the money after the fee is collected I use it for my treatment. I don't want to bother you sir."
It's up to you because you are the type of woman who is stubborn," said Jack Wilson openly.
For a few minutes there was no conversation between the two of them, they were both silent, the only sound that could be heard now was the singing of the first singer who filled the stage.
Nirmala listened to the singer's voice so sweet that it touched her heart.
"This woman's voice is so beautiful, I can't compete with her. Her voice is very soft, it calms my heart. She must have gotten a lot of gifts from the men in black coats there," Nirmala murmured flattering a female singer with short hair wearing a black dress the same as tonight .
He waited several hours for his turn to go on stage. Until then Jack Wilson was forced to leave leaving Nirmala sitting there alone.
The opportunity was taken by a middle-aged man wearing a navy suit to approach the singer in the new chair occupied by Jack Wilson.
"Good evening, beautiful Miss Isabella," said the man wearing a navy tie that matched his suit jacket.
Nirmala turned to him and gave him a small smile.
"Good night too sir, thank you for your compliment," said Nirmala to the man who was not too tall.
"Where did Jack go? Why did he leave you alone? Can I accompany you now?" asked the man who intermittently tugged at his thin mustache. And winked one eye. Makes Nirmala shudder.
"He's not very handsome maybe he's just a rich man, who squanders his money to pay his idol singer here," Nirmala murmured assessing the man who looks like a dirty-brained man.
"Looks like he's a little drunk so his words sound a little disoriented," Nirmala noticed his style of speech. He had to be careful with this kind of man.
"Jack will be back in a minute. He only has permission to go to the bathroom." Nirmala replied that she hoped that she would leave here right now. She felt uncomfortable with this man. From the look in his eyes, it was clear that he was not a good man.
