Chapter 40 Ambiguity in the Dark

"Looks like you're not as dumb as I thought." the Chief whispered.

Susan didn't hear the Chief's words clearly and frowned: "Only one point. I don't care about your fight for power or profit. No matter who wins, it makes no difference to the common people anyway. I only care whether you will really hurt Her Majesty the Queen."

The Chief said with some confusion, "You've never met Her Majesty the Queen, so why do you care so much about her?"

Susan cocked her head and thought about it. In fact, she didn't know why she would sympathize with Her Majesty so much. Maybe it was because she knew that Her Majesty was just a young girl of her own age. Or maybe it was because she knew that the young Queen was struggling and all the people around her could not be trusted. Or maybe because she was born with the right to rule the kingdom but was forced by all to marry just because she was a woman.
